Prayers.

Augmenting Vicarages.

A BILL for the Augmentation of small Rectories and Vicarages, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed, upon the Debates of the House, to Sir Edward Deering, Sir Cha. Wheeler, Mr. Crouch, Sir Trever Williams, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Williams, Sir John Barnaby, Sir John Elwayes, Sir John Knight, Sir Tho. Clergis, Sir John Birkenhead, Sir Hen. Ford, Mr. Robert Wright, Sir John Fagg, Sir John Robinson, Sir Edward Masters, Mr. Tregonwell, Mr. Serjeant Maynard, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Eyres, Sir John Pettus, Mr. Leveson Gower, Sir John Talbot, Sir John Napper, Sir Fr. Chitterne All Saints and Chitterne St. Mary.

A Bill for uniting the Two Parishes of Chitterne AllSaints, and Chitterne St. Mary, in the County of Wilts, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Repairing Highways.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for repairing and amending the Highways.

Southwarke, &c. Court of Conscience.

Ordered, That the Bills for erecting a Court of Conscience in Southwarke, and the Out Parishes, be brought in on Monday next; and then read.

Church Repairing, &c.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for Repair of Churches, and the better Recovery of small Tythes.

Coal Trade.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the Ease of the Coal Trade, and encouraging Navigation to Newcastle; and that such Bill do lie on the Table Two Days before it be read.

A Motion being made, and a Debate arising thereupon for encouraging of Navigation, and increasing of Seamen, for lessening the Duty imposed upon the Exportation of Coal;

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed to take into Consideration the Matter touching the Exportation of Coal, and the Duty imposed upon it; and to report the State of the Matter, with their Opinions therein, to the House:

British Subjects in French Service.

A Debate arising, touching such Subjects of his Majesty's as are, or shall be hereafter, in the Service of the French King, contrary to his Majesty's Proclamation;

Resolved, &c. That all such his Majesty's Subjects, which now are, or shall be hereafter, in the Service of the French King, contrary to his Majesty's late Proclamation, dated the Nineteenth Day of May One thousand Six hundred Seventy-five, intituled, A Proclamation, commanding the immediate Return of all his Majesty's Subjects who have gone into the Service of the French King, as Soldiers, since the late Treaty of Peace with the States General of the United Provinces; and prohibiting all his Majesty's Subjects to enter into the said Service, for the Time to come; shall be taken to be Contemners of his Majesty's Royal Authority, and Opposers of the Interest of their Country.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired to this Vote: And that Sir William Coventry do carry it up to the Lords.

Resolved, &c. That a Bill, with Penalties, be brought in, pursuant to this Vote.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Powle, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Sawyer, Sir Tho. Clergis, Sir Tho. Littleton, Mr. Williams, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Wm. Coventry, Mr. Secretary Coventry, Sir Trevor Williams, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir Nich. Carew, or any Three of them, to prepare and bring in the said Bill.

Papists not to sit in Parliament.

A Bill to hinder Papists from sitting in either of the Houses of Parliament, was read the Second time.
