Lyndsey Level.
ORDERED, That the Cause concerning Lyndsey Level be heard on Tuesday after Easter Week.
Thorisby's Estate.
Sir John Trevor reports from the Committee to whom the Bill to enable Francis Thorisby Esquire to sell Lands for Payment of Debts, was committed, several Amendments to the Bill, and a Clause to be added thereto; Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments and Clause agreed to, be ingrossed.
Trustees in Private Bills.
Ordered, That in all private Bills, for the future, a Clause be inserted, That the Trustees therein named shall be obliged to see the Trusts in the said Bills performed, or be liable to the same out of their own Estates.
Petition against a Member.
A Petition of Edmund Prideaux and Susannah his Wife, complaining against Sir Robert Holt, a Member of this House; . . . .
And Mr. Prideaux being called in to the Bar, and owning the said Petition; the Petition was read.
Sir Robert Holt, standing up in his Place, desired that he may have a Copy of the said Petition; and some reasonable Time given him to put in his Answer thereto in Writing.
Ordered, That Sir Robert Holt have a Copy of the said Petition: And do return his Answer thereto in Writing on Monday after Easter Week.
Address for a Recess.
Resolved, That an Address be presented to his Majesty, by such Members of this House as are of his Majesty's most honourable Privy Council, to desire his Majesty, that there may be a short Recess; such as may consist with his Majesty's Affairs: And that it is the humble Desire of this House, that his Majesty will have such a Regard to the Time, as that there may then be a full House.
Call of the House.
Ordered, That the House be called over the Second Day of Meeting after the Recess.
Ordered, That, the next Day after the Call of the House, the House will take into Consideration the State of the Kingdom, in relation to foreign Affairs.
Tax on new Buildings.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the Consideration of the Bill for laying a Charge upon new Buildings.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir John Trevor reports, That the Committee had sat, and read over the Bill.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
