A BILL for making navigable the River Vale in the County of Cornewall, was read the Second time.

Exporting Wool.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to repeal the Law that makes it Felony to export Wool; and to provide more effectual Remedies to prevent the exporting it into foreign Parts.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the more effectual putting in Execution the Law for regulating Weights and Measures.

Steven's Will.

A Bill to supply a Defect in the Will of Richard Stevens, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be rejected.

Importing French Goods.

The House being informed, that there is a Ship, called the Prosperous, come into the Port of Portsmouth, laden with several French Commodities, and that there is likely to arise a Doubt upon the Law for prohibiting French Commodities, touching the Construction of the Word "imported," What shall be taken to be an Importation within the Meaning of the Act; and that there is no Reward provided by the said Act, for the Informer or Prosecutor; and that, by Reason thereof, the Offenders are likely to escape, without being prosecuted;

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to examine the Matter of the said Information; and report the same, with their Opinions, what is fit to be done therein, to the House; and to consider of the Defects in the said Law; and to provide Remedies to prevent the same; and present the same to the House.

Supply Bill; Disbanding the Forces.

A Bill for raising a Supply for paying and disbanding all the Forces, raised since the Twenty-ninth of September last, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Disposition of Grants.

A Motion being made, That a Time may be appointed, that the Accounts of the Disbursements of the Two hundred thousand Pounds, taken up by his Majesty upon the Credit of the Act concerning the additional Excise, may be brought in;

And a Debate arising in the House, Whether the Accounts shall be brought in, or not;

Resolved, &c. That the Debate be adjourned till Saturday Morning next, Ten of the Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
