Earl of Cleaveland's Creditors.

A PETITION of Sir Nevill Catlyn was read.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whom the Bill for Relief of the Creditors of the late Earl of Cleaveland, was committed; to examine the Matter thereof; and report the same, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Exporting Wool.

A Petition of Nathanael Reading Esquire was read.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whom the Bill for preventing the Exportation of Wool, is committed; to examine the Matter thereof; and to report the same, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Army Accompts.

Expiring Laws.

Ordered, That the Lord Bruce do carry up the Bill for reviving several Acts therein mentioned to the Lords for their Concurrence.

French Commodities.

An ingrossed Bill for repealing certain Clauses in an Act for prohibiting French Commodities, was read a Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for repealing certain Clauses in an Act of Parliament made in the Twenty-ninth and Thirtieth Years of the Reign of his late Majesty, for prohibiting French Commodities.

Ordered, That Mr. North do carry up the Bill to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Woollen Manufacture.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Encouragement of the Woollen Manufacture stands committed be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Three of the Clock in the Speaker's Chamber.

Improving Tillage.

An ingrossed Bill for improvement of Tillage was read a Third time.

And an ingrossed Proviso being presented to the House to be made Part of the Bill; and the Proviso being thrice read;

Rebuilding St. Paule's.

An ingrossed Bill for Rebuilding, Finishing, and Adorning, of the Cathedral Church of St. Paule's London, was read a Third time.

An ingrossed Proviso, being presented, to be added to the Bill, was read.

Resolved, That the Proviso be rejected.

Pellisari's &c. Nat.

London Orphans.

A Bill for continuing the Imposition on Coals, for the Relief of Widows and Orphans of the City of London, was read.

And the Question being put, That the Bill be read a Second time;

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Samuel Clark, and Sir Miles Cooke;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have commanded us to acquaint this House, That they have agreed to a Bill, sent up from this House, intituled, An Act against the Importation of Gunpowder, Arms, and Ammunition, and other Utensils of War; with an Alteration, to which their Lordships desire the Concurrence of this House. They have also agreed to Two other Bills, sent up from this House; the One, intituled, An Act to continue Three former Acts to prevent Theft and Rapine on the Northern Borders of England; the other, intituled, An Act for repealing a Clause for Dividing of Commons, in an Act of Parliament made in the Fifteenth Year of King Charles the Second, intituled, An Act for settling the Draining of the great Level of the Fens called Bedford Levell; without any Alteration.

Importing Gunpowder &c.

The Amendment, sent down from the Lords, to the Bill against the Importation of Gunpowder, Arms, and Ammunition, and other Utensils of War, being thrice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

Ordered, That the Lord Preston do carry up the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them with the Concurrence of the House to the said Amendment.

Duty on Brandy, &c.

An ingrossed Bill for an Imposition on Brandies, Linen, Callicoes, and wrought Silks imported, was read a Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for granting an Aid to his Majesty by an Imposition on all French Linen, and all East India Linen, and several other Manufactures of India; and on all French wrought Silks and Stuffs, and on all other wrought Silks; and on all Brandy imported after the First Day of July One thousand Six hundred Eighty-five, and before the First day of July One thousand Six hundred and Ninety.

Ordered, That Mr. Solicitor General do carry up the Bill to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Preservation of King's Person, &c.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for Preservation of his Majesty's Person and Government.
