Privilege.

ORDERED, That the Matter of Abuse and Breach of Privilege complained of, on the Behalf of Sir Gilbert Gerrard to be committed by Wm. Carr, in aspersing Sir Gilbert Gerrard for suborning of a Witness, and in deterring and taking off Witnesses, be referred to the Committee of Privileges; to examine, and report the Matter to the House, with their Opinions therein.

Conine's, &c. Nat.

Sir John Brampston reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for Naturalization of John Conine and others, was committed, that the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and examined the Certificates of the several Persons concerned, which were produced; and were satisfied to all but to Three Persons, viz. Andrew Jacob, who was gone to Sea, and did not send any Certificate; Francis de Lix, who could not produce any Certificate; and Theodore Jacobson, whose Certificate was not regular.

Upon Consideration whereof, the Names of those Three Persons were, upon the Question, ordered to be omitted.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill of Naturalization be ingrossed.

Fowler's Estate.

Ordered, That the Clause of special Recommendation to Mr. Vaughan, in the Order for Commitment of Mr. Fowler's Bill, be omitted, and Mr. Vaughan discharged of it, and added to the Committee at large, as others are.

Hearthmoney Tax.

Resolved, &c. That a Message be sent to the Lords by Sir John Moreton, to put the Lords in mind of the Bill for better collecting the Duty of Hearth Money; being a Matter of great Weight and Consequence, and the Sitting but short.

Lucy's Estate.

Mr. Speaker, the Lords have returned you the Bill to confirm an Agreement between Wm. Paston Esquire, Lord of the Manor of Horton, and the Tenants of the said Manor, for an Inclosure of Part of the Wastes of the said Manor, for the Preservation and Growth of Wood and Timber; with some Amendments, and a Proviso: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.They have sent you down another Bill, intituled, An Act for Confirmation of the Settlement of the Estate of Sir Kingsmill Lucy Baronet, in the said Act mentioned; and for transferring over some other Parts of the real Estate of Sir Richard Lucy Knight and Baronet, deceased, from Francis Lucy Esquire: To which they also desire your Concurrence.

Supply Bill; Wine Duties, &c.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for the King's Supply, was committed, several Amendments, Additions, and Alterations, agreed by the said Committee to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place, and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which being read; and all the Amendments, to the Amendments, Folio 2, Line 9, being twice read; were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The Question being put, that the Word "Brandy" stand in that Amendment;

Lady Savile's Portion.

Ordered, That Major General Egerton, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Bartue, be added to the Committee to which the Bill for securing of a Portion of Five thousand Pounds to the Lady Frances Savile was committed.

Fowler's Estate.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill concerning Mr. Fowler was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon in the Place formerly appointed.
