Church of Great Corringham (Lincs., royal manor 1086) and 2½ carucates gr. 'in prebenda' by king Henry I to Brand the pr. 1100 × 15, ? 1114 (Regesta II no. 1043 = R.A.L. I no. 35); conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (R.A.L. I no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 205). Vicarage ordained 29 March 1277, preb. providing a pr. also for Stow church (Rot. Gravesend pp. 95-6).

Somerby, Yawthorpe and Dunstall, first mentioned 29 March 1277 (as above).

Does not occ. in L.P. I of ? c. 1132 (app. 2). D. by 1155 × 58 (R.A.L. I no. 164). Commem. 7 March as presbiter, not called can. (obit. I 155).

Perhaps this preb., because attested while chanc., as sole witness from chapter, a charter concerning this preb. (R.A.L. II no. 639).
