Vicarage ordained before 26 Aug. 1247 (Rot. Grosseteste p. 99, and see Rot. Gravesend p. 70, of 23 Sept. 1276), augmented 7 March 1298 (Reg. Sutton I 224-5); pres. by preb. 1276, 1278, 1294 (Rot. III nos. 674, 752, IX nos. 2495-6, X no. 2764, see app. 47), and c. 1200 × 1205 (R.A.L. V no. 1581). D. or res. unnamed preb. before Feb. 1208 (Rot. Litt. Claus. I 103b). In 1212 called Walter, predecessor (temp. king Henry II) of Thomas de Neville in this preb. (C.R.R. VI 309). Brother of M. Robert Blund, can. (below p. 139), as they were both uncles of M. John Blund (Giraldus Cambrensis Speculum Duorum, ed. Y. Lefèvre et al. (Cardiff, 1974) pp. 56-7).

Royal gr. of unnamed preb. to succeed M. Walter Blund, s.v., Feb. 1208 (Rot. Litt. Claus. I 103b). Occ. as this preb., 'Lauda', Lincs., 1212 (C.R.R. VI 309). (fn. 2) Also archdcn. of Salop (Lichfield dioc.) 1212-14; chanc. of Lichfield, in which office he d. before 26 Sept. 1223 (Pat. R. 1216-25 p. 386).

Transf. from preb. Brampton before d. in 1238 (Epp. Grosseteste no. 51, p. 147; list 23), possibly on transferring from archdcnry. of Huntingdon to that of Lincoln between 12 and 23 March 1223 (lists 8, 7).

Presum. the unnamed treas. of the queen who occ. as this preb. in years Sept. 1304 - Sept. 1305 and Sept. 1305 - Sept. 1306 (Edwards, Sec. Caths. pp. 328, 330).
