By c. 1295 preb. consisted of churches of Ampleforth and Heslington, with a manor-house, land and a watermill in Ampleforth, a manor-house and land in Heslington, land in Water Fulford, a manor-house and land in Dunnington (E.R., near York), and a hall in York called le Stanehall in Stonegate (Extents pp. 21-6). Prebendal house prob. now called 'Norman House' in Stonegate (RCHM York V 225).
