Footnotes

  • 1. The preb. held by Mockyng Aug. 1411 is called the preb. 'Siuenonune' (CPL. VI 292). This has been interpreted as the nameless preb.-'sine nomine'. This may imply that Mockyng had res. Caerfarchell at this date and held a cursal preb. in St Davids, but possibly the name of the preb. was omitted in a letter to the curia, which would have led the clerks of the curia to assume that his preb. had no name.
