HERTFORD.	Inq. (indented) taken at Barnet, Tuesday before Ascension Day, 19 Richard II.
	She held the under-mentioned manor for life by gift of Roger de Grey to the said Reynold and Eleanor then his wife, to hold to them and the heirs of the body of Reynold, the reversion belonging to Reynold son of the said Reynold and Eleanor. Holewelle in Bishop’s Hatfeld. The manor, held of John Roulond, clerk, and John Hervy by knight’s service. She died on Thursday before St George last. Reynold de Grey, aged 30 years and more, is her son and heir.

	She held the under-mentioned manor jointly with John de Halsham, her husband, who is still living, by grant of John de Lyncoln, clerk, and Walter Topclyf, to them and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to Philippa’s right heirs, by a fine levied in the king’s court on the morrow of All Souls, 12 Richard II. Colyngbourne Valence. The manor, held of the king in chief by service of a sparrowhawk yearly, or 2s. to be paid to the king by the hands of the sheriff of the county. She died on All Saints Day, 19 Richard II. John, son of the said John Halsham and Philippa, aged 11 years and more, is her heir.

BUCKINGHAM.	Inq. taken at Hardmede, Thursday before the Translation of St Thomas the Martyr, 20 Richard II.
	The under-mentioned messuage and lands came to the king’s hands by reason of the idiocy of the said William. Hardmede. A messuage and a small grove of wood, held of Stephen Stutevyll, lord of Hardmed, by knight’s service, service of 6d. yearly and suit of court every three weeks. Hardmede. 10a. land, held of Hugh Ardres by knight’s service and service of 15d. yearly. He died on the eve of Ascension Day last. John Spencer alias John Bocher of Hardmed, son of Isolde daughter of Cecily sister of Walter Halybred, father of the said William, aged 50 years and more, is his heir.

Certain lands and tenements, held as above. She died on Monday after St Bartholomew in the year aforesaid. Katharine wife of Richard Beumount, aged 30 years, and Maud wife of Richard Avenell, sister of the said Katharine, aged 28 years, are her heirs.

SUFFOLK.	Inq. (indented) taken at Wykhammarket, Monday after Michaelmas, 19 Richard II.
	John de Norwico, knight, being seised of the under-mentioned manor, gave it by his charter with the king’s licence to Walter his son and Margaret wife of Walter and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the said John and his heirs. John and Walter are dead and there is no heir of the bodies of Walter and Margaret. Bradfeld. The manor, held of the king in chief by knight’s service. She died on 31 July last. The manor ought to revert to Robert de Wylughby, lord of Eresby, aged 40 years and more, Robert de Skales, lord of Skales, aged 22 years and more, and William de Ferers, lord of Groby, aged 23 years and more. Robert de Wylughby is son of Cecily daughter of Margaret sister of the said John de Norwico; Robert de Skales is son of Roger son of Katharine daughter of Margaret sister of the said John; and William de Ferers is son of Henry son of Margaret daughter of Margaret sister of the said John.

	She held the under-mentioned manor and advowson for life, the reversion belonging to Robert de Wyleby, Henry de Ferres and Roger Skales, knight. The said Robert and Roger [granted] (fn. 1) their reversion of two thirds by a fine levied in the king’s court to William Bateman, Nicholas de Massyngham, Robert Rykedon and John Marlere, clerk. The other third part descended to William de Ferres, son of the said Henry, aged 33 years and more. Dalham. The manor, with the advowson of the church, held of the king in chief by knight’s service. Date of death as above. The lord of Skales has occupied the manor since Margaret’s death.

SUFFOLK.	Inq. taken at Henowe, Thursday after St Benedict, 19 Richard II.
	The said Margaret held the manor of Dalham with the advowson of the church for life, the reversion belonging to Robert de Wyleby, Henry de Ferrers and Roger Skales, knights. Robert and Roger granted their reversion of two thirds to William Bateman, Nicholas de Massyngham, Robert Rykedoune and John Marlere, clerk. The said Robert de Wyleby, William, Nicholas and Robert Rykedoune are still living; Roger, Henry and John are dead, so that the reversion of two thirds of the manor and advowson belongs to William Bateman, Nicholas de Massyngham and Robert Rykedoun, and of a third part to William de Ferrers, knight, who is still living and of age, as son and heir of the said Henry.

A messuage, a carucate of land, 6a. meadow and 26s. rent held of the king by great serjeanty, to wit, the serjeanty of keeping the forest of Cannoke, Staffs. He died on Saturday, 5 February last. William Peyto, aged 30 years and more, is son and heir of the said John and Eleanor.

CORNWALL.	Inq. (indented) taken at Truru Burgh, Michaelmas Day, 19 Richard II.
	Joce Tregemynyon was seised in his demesne as of fee of the under-mentioned lands etc. and had a son, Richard, and two daughters, Sybil and Isabel. After Joce’s death Richard was seised of the said lands and had a son, James, who died seised of the said lands without heir of his body. After his death Sybil and Isabel, as aunts and heirs of James, and John Robyn alias Luky, then Isabel’s husband, entered and granted the said lands to Ralph Kenyeyn, son of the said Sybil, and the heirs of his body long before the said John was claimed as neif. The said Ralph continued his estate until he was removed by James Atteparke, then keeper of the fees of Joan late princess of Wales in the said county, claiming that the said John Robyn was the neif of the said princess and the said lands came into the king’s hand by the death of the said princess. Afterwards in the king’s Chancery the said Ralph had restitution of a moiety of the said lands and the other moiety remained in the king’s hand by reason of the villeinage of the said John Robyn. Tregemynyon, Trevewen, Croftou, Tregessial, Kegwyn and Bossuyon. 12 messuages, 3 carucates of land and 20s. rent. He died without heir on the morrow of All Saints, 18 Richard II.

	He died seised of the under-mentioned lands etc. jointly with Maud his wife, who is still living, to them and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of Richard without the king’s licence, as appears by a charter of Edward III. Glentworth. A messuage, 2 tofts, 5 bovates of land, 26s. and 1 lb. cummin rents, held of the king in chief by great serjeanty and service of 15s. yearly. He died on Sunday before the Purification last. John Stourtone, son of Margaret sister of the said Richard, aged 30 years and more, is his heir.

WORCESTER.	Inq. taken at Wych, Wednesday after St Richard, 19 Richard II.
	The under-mentioned lands etc. came to the king’s hands by reason of the death of John de Schelve the second and the minority of John de Schelve the third. Schelve. A messuage, a carucate of land and 6a. meadow, with the advowson of the church, held of the manor of Intebergh, which was of John late earl of Pembroke, a minor in the king’s wardship, by knight’s service. A third part of the premises is assigned as dower to Lucy who was the wife of John de Schelve the first, by virtue of the king’s writ, and a third part of two thirds is assigned as dower to Maud who was the wife of John de Schelve the second, mother of John de Schelve the third, by virtue of the king’s writ. He died without heir of his body on 14 October last. Thomas Beste, aged 32 years and more, is his heir, to wit, son of John Beste of Wych, son of Roger Beste of the same and Maud his wife, sister of Richard de Schelve alias Richard Bertram of Schelve, father of John de Schelve the first, father of John de Schelve the second, father of the last John de Schelve.

Two thirds of the manor, with the advowson of the church, held of the king in chief by knight’s service and the service of keeping the gaol of the king’s castle of Exeter. Aylyngwode. A messuage and 3 furlongs of land held of John de Monte Acuto, knight, by knight’s service. Oterton. A messuage and half a furlong of land, held of Peter Courtenay, knight, as of his manor of Oterton, by fealty, a rent of 3s. and 2 suits yearly to the said Peter’s court of Oterton. SUFFOLK.	Inq. (indented) taken at Eye, Monday the eve of St Matthew, 19 Richard II.
	She held the under-mentioned manor for life, of the inheritance of Aubrey de Veer, earl of Oxford. Mendham. The manor called Walshamhalle, held of the king, service unknown. She died on 7 August last. Hugh Lotereel, knight, aged 21 years and more, is her son and heir. John Brame, knight, has occupied the manor since Elizabeth’s death.

	Writ to enquire what estate Aubrey de Veer, earl of Oxford, has or ought to have in the manor called Walshamhalle, and by what service it is held. 27 October, 19 Richard II.
SUFFOLK.	Inq. (indented) taken at Mendham, Thursday the feast of St Martin, 19 Richard II.
	Richard Stoke, clerk, and John Fermer, by a fine levied in the court of Edward III, granted the said manor to John son of John de Veer, earl of Oxford, and Elizabeth his wife and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to John de Veer, then earl of Oxford, and his heirs. John son of John died without heir of his body and afterwards Elizabeth granted the manor for her life to Elizabeth who was the wife of Hugh Cortenei, and who afterwards married John de Mounbray, lord of the isle of Haxholm. He gave the manor to John de Veer, earl of Oxford, who gave it to John de Sutton the elder, knight, John de Pelham, Nicholas Pechard and Thomas Twe. Afterwards the earl and Nicholas Pechard died and the surviving feoffees gave the manor to Maud, who was the wife of the said earl for life, with remainder to Aubrey de Veer, now earl of Oxford, to him and the heirs male of his body, with remainder to the right heirs of John, late earl of Oxford. Elizabeth who was the wife of Hugh died and Elizabeth wife of John son of John entered into the manor. The manor is held of the king in chief by payment of 16d. yearly at the castle of Norwich.

	Elizabeth Luterell, called Veer, held the under-mentioned manor and moiety of a hundred for life by gift of Peter de Brues, knight, and Robert Dauns, chaplain, to Hugh de Courtenay, late earl of Devon, Margaret his wife and the said Elizabeth and the heirs of the said Hugh by a fine levied in the court of Edward III with the king’s licence. Whyteford. The manor, with a moiety of the hundred of Colyton, held of the king in chief by knight’s service. She died on Monday, the eve of St Lawrence, 19 Richard II.
