II.

Tudenham within the liberty of Strogoil. A mill, 110a. land, 3a. meadow, and 6a. wood, were held by the said John of the said Miles and Maud by service of 1/3 knight’s fee (and not of the king in chief).
The constable of the king’s castle of Storguyl and Ralph de Monte Hermeri (to whom the king had sold the wardship of the said John’s heir) were warned but came not.

The manor held of the king in chief by homage and service of 1 knight’s fee, viz.—an armed man with a barded horse or four footmen according to the custom of those parts, for three days at his own charges at the summons of the king’s bailiffs of Kermerdyn whenever necessary, and doing suit at the county (court) of Kermerdyn; and all his tenants ought to come with their lord or his bailiff for three days at their own charges when required, to accompany the lord of Kermerdyn to war (in expedicionem domini de Kermerdyn).
