SOMERSET. Inq. Sunday the morrow of St. Clement the Pope, 8 Edw. II.
Esthornyngdone by Welles. The manor held of the bishop of Bath and Wells by homage, scutage, and service of 1 knight’s fee. He held no lands &c. in the county of the inheritance of Gilbert de Clare, late earl of Gloucester.
John his son, aged 2, is his next heir.
GLOUCESTER. Inq. Wednesday before St. Lucy, 8 Edw. II.
Tormertone. The manor with the hamlet of Luttletone, held of John de Wylyntone, by service of 2 knights’ fees.
Actone Turvile. 1/2 knight’s fee held of the earl of Arundel. He held nothing in the county of the inheritance of Gilbert de Clare, late earl of Gloucester and Hertford.

A third part of the manor is in the hands of Anabel, sometime the wife of Richard de Ripariis, in dower, with reversion to the said John’s heir.
Thomas his son, aged 6 on the feast of St. Michael last, is his next heir.

Reylegh. A messuage, 24 1/2a. arable, 3a. meadow, 6 1/2a. wood, and 4s. 2d. rent of assize, held of the king in chief as of the honour of Reylegh by service of 1/14 knight’s fee, 3d. yearly for hidage, and doing suit at the hundred of Rocheford; 27a. arable held of the king as of the honour of Reylegh by service of serjeanty for the execution of the precepts of the court of the barony of Reylegh; and a messuage, 140a. arable, 8a. meadow, 4a. pasture, 8s. 5d. rent of assize, and a wind-mill, held of the heirs of John de Burgo by service of 6d. for scutage, when a general scutage shall run throughout England.

NORTHUMBERLAND. Inq. Thursday the feast of the Decollation of St. John the Baptist, 8 Edw. II. (defective.)
Dycheburne West and Great Ryell. The manors, together with a moiety of Cartyngdon, of which moiety the said Roger and Joan his wife were enfeoffed by Ralph son of Roger, the said Roger’s father, in the time of King Henry, to hold to them and the heirs of their bodies, held of the king in chief by service of 1 knight’s fee, 18s. 5d. rent to the castle of Bamburugh, and 31s. 7d. to the castle of Newcastle upon Tyne for rent of disafforested forest.
Richard son of Ralph, brother of the said Roger, aged 30, is his next heir.
Charelton North. The manor held, by the gift of his said father by charter of feoffment (transcript given) to him and the heirs of his body, with remainder to Richard son of the said Ralph and the heirs of his body, with remainder to the said Ralph’s next heirs of his own blood, of Sir Henry Percy by service of 1 knight’s fee; and because the said Roger died without heir ……. the manor remains to the said Richard.

STAFFORD. Inq. 7 Feb. 8 Edw. II.
Wodnesbury. The manor (full extent given), held of the king in chief in exchange for the manor of Stuntesfeld, co. Oxford, and because the manor of Wodnesbury is worth more than that of Stuntesfeld, it is taxed with 20s. yearly at the king’s exchequer by the hands of the sheriff of Stafford, and there is no other service. He held nothing of the heir of Hugh de Plessetis, who is in the king’s wardship.
Henry his son, aged 50 on the feast of St. Michael last, is his next heir.
Memorandum by the escheator. He held no other lands &c. in the bailiwick.
STAFFORD. Assignment of dower made at Wednesbury, to Juliana late the wife of John de Herunvull of all his lands, &c. (full extent given with many field names and names of tenants), 10 March, 8 Edw. II.

Tirwhiteley. 30a. arable held of Sir Roger de Somervyll by service of 1/3lb. cummin yearly, of which Agnes late the wife of the said Robert was enfeoffed, together with her said husband.
Hebourn. The hamlet (extent given), pertaining to the manor of Bothal, of which hamlet the said Agnes was enfeoffed together with her said husband by Sir Robert Bertram, grandfather of the said Robert, and this by the licence of the late King Edward.
