New England.

Letter to the Governor.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Belcher, Governor of New England, ordered to be prepared the 30th of the last month, was agreed.

September 25. Present:—Mr. Bladen.

Trade.

Russia.

A letter from the Lord Harrington, dated the 11th of September, 1733, was read, as also the following paper, therewith transmitted.
Points proposed by Lord Forbes for a treaty of mutual commerce with Russia.

And the Secretary acquainting the Board that he had communicated the said points of a treaty to the Governor of the Russia Company, and had received the observations of the said Company thereupon, the same were read.

Virginia.

Lord Fairfax about running bounds.

An Order of the Committee of Council, dated the 25th of July, 1733, referring to this Board the petition of Lord Fairfax, praying that His Majesty will be pleased to order a commission to issue for running out, marking, and ascertaining the bounds of the petitioner's district of land in Virginia, was read.

September 27. Present:—Mr. Bladen, Sir A. Croft.

Lord Fairfax running of bounds.

The Board, taking again into consideration the Order of the Committee of Council, upon the Lord Fairfax's petition about ascertaining the bounds of his land in Virginia, mentioned in yesterday's Minutes, gave directions for preparing the draught of a representation thereupon.

The Board, likewise taking again into consideration the letter from the Lord Harrington, relating to a treaty of commerce with Russia, mentioned in the Minutes of the 25th inst., as also the observations of the Russia Company upon the said proposed draught of a treaty, gave directions for preparing the draught of a report thereupon.

Letter to the Governor.

The letter to Mr. Belcher, Governor of the Massachusetts Bay and New Hampshire, agreed the 4th inst., was signed.

South Carolina.

Captain Phenney.

An Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, dated the 15th of August, 1733, to alter the draughts of additional instructions to the Governors of Virginia and South Carolina, relating to Captain Phenney, Surveyor General of the Customs, being continued a Councillor in ordinary there, was read.
