Thursday, December 1. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

South Carolina.

Their lordships took into consideration several letters, which have been received from Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina, containing an account of the several Nations of Indians bordering upon that province, and their situation, with respect to the neighbouring French and Spaniards, together with proposals for securing our interest with the said Nations of Indians, and ordered the draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Bedford to be prepared, to inclose copies of the above letters, and to desire his Grace will, if he thinks proper, lay them before his Majesty for his directions thereupon.

Tuesday, December 6. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

South Carolina.

The draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Bedford, inclosing copies of four from Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina, relating to Indian affairs, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Their lordships took into consideration an Act, passed in the province of South Carolina in 1746, for emitting £210,000 in Bills of Credit, mentioned in the minutes of the 22nd of April last, and directed the Secretary to write to Mr. Lamb to attend the Board on Thursday next upon the subject of the said Act.

Barbados.

Read a letter from Mr. Grenville, Governor of Barbados, to the Board, dated the 17th of October, 1748, transmitting (besides several duplicate papers) the following depositions, relating to settlements intended to be made by the French upon the Island of Tobago.
Copy of the depositions of John Renood of that Island, and of John Ridley, Commander of the schooner Eleanor, belonging to that Island, just arrived at Barbados from St. Vincent's, taken before two magistrates the 14th of October, 1748, that the French were at that time actually taking measures to possess themselves of Tobago and to settle it.

Ordered that a draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Bedford, one of his Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, be prepared, to inclose an extract of so much of the above letter from Mr. Grenville, as relates to the design of the French to settle the Island of Tobago, as also copies of the two depositions relating thereto.

Montserrat.

Read the humble petition of Nicholas Daniel, of his Majesty's Island of Montserrat, Esquire, to this Board, setting forth his having been appointed one of the Council of that Island by Governor Mathew, in the year 1740, and praying that he may be confirmed therein by his Majesty.

Ordered that the draught of a representation to his Majesty be prepared, proposing the confirmation of the said Nicholas Daniel, Esquire.

Massachusets.

Read a letter from Mr. Shirley, Governor of Massachusets Bay, to the Board, dated at Boston, the 28th of October, 1748, acknowledging the receipt of the Board's letter inclosing the Act passed here for encouraging the making of Indigo, promising to transmit the papers relating to Fort Bummer, and inclosing the Governor of Canada's answer to his letter to him, concerning some Indians, prisoners at Quebec.

New Jersey.

Read a letter from Mr. Belcher, Governor of New Jersey, dated at Burlington, the 18th of October, 1748, acknowledging the receipt of the Board's letter of the 8th June, inclosing two Acts of Parliament, one for the making of Indigo, the other respecting the naturalization of foreign protestants in the British plantations in America, and promising to comply therewith.

Wednesday, December 7. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Leveson Gower, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Barbados.

The draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Bedford, inclosing the extract of one from Mr. Grenville, Governor of Barbados, and copies of two depositions therewith transmitted, relating to the design of the French to settle the Island of Tobago, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Montserrat.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty, proposing that Nicholas Daniel, Esquire, may be appointed of the Council of Montserrat, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Nova Scotia.

Read a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Mascarene, President of the Council and Commander in chief of Nova Scotia, to the Board, dated at Annapolis Royal, the 6th September, 1748, being a continuation of the state of affairs in that province with respect to the French inhabitants.

Bermuda.

Read the following letters and papers from William Popple, Esquire, his Majesty's Governor of the Bermuda Islands, viz.:—

1. Letter from Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, to the Board, dated the 15th of August, 1748, containing an account of his proceedings on the trial of a Dutch ship in the Court of Admiralty, with the disturbances on that occasion, particularly by the crews of two privateers.

4. Letter from Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, to the Board, dated the 10th of October, 1748, with the plan of an instruction annexed, relating to his additional salary, which he desires may be given to him.

Bermuda.

3. Letter from Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, to the Board, dated the 10th of October, 1748, transmitting several publick papers referred to, in it, relating to the report of the Committee of Grievances, with complaints against him, and giving an account of his having dissolved the Assembly by proclamation, pursuant to instructions sent to him upon that head.

2. Letter from Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, to the Board, dated the 30th of August, 1748, containing his reasons in support of his conduct with respect to several of the leading men in those Islands.

These Papers were transmitted with the letter marked No. 3.

Attested copy of a letter from the Commissioners of his Majesty's Customs in England, dated at London, the 15th of April, 1746, to the collector of Customs at Bermuda, inclosing a copy of the report of the solicitor of the Customs, relating to a flag of truce having French sugars on board.
Attested copy of the accustomed form, in which flags of truce have been granted in the Bermuda Islands.
Attested copies of papers, viz.:—
No. 1. Account of flags of truce commissions granted by the present Governor; as also during the administration of President Jones.
No. 2. Reasons of the present scarcity of provisions in the Bermuda Islands.
No. 3. The Provost Marshall's deposition what orders he received from the Governor in relation to French and Spanish prisoners in his custody. Dated October 10th, 1748.

Thursday, December 8. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Leveson Gower, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

South Carolina.

Mr. Lamb attending, as desired, their lordships had some discourse with him upon the subject of the Act, passed in South Carolina in 1746, for emitting £210,000 in Bills of Credit, and being withdrawn, their lordships ordered the said Act to be referred back to him to reconsider the same and report his opinion thereupon.

North Carolina.

Read an Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, dated the 24th of November, 1748, approving a report made by this Board the 30th of August last, upon the petition of the Palatines in North Carolina, relating to their being dispossessed by the late Colonel Pollock and his heirs, of lands granted them in that province by her late Majesty Queen Anne, and directing this Board to prepare a draught of an instruction in the manner proposed by the said report for his Majesty's Governor of the said province.

Virginia.

Read an Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, dated the 24th of November, 1748, approving a report of this Board, the 2nd of September last, relating to the making grants of lands on the western side of the Great Mountains in Virginia to persons in partnership; and directing this Board to prepare a draught of instructions for the Governor or Lieutenant Governor of Virginia for that purpose.

Ordered that draughts of instructions be prepared, pursuant to the above Orders.

Trade.

East India.

Read an Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, dated the 24th of November, 1748, referring to this Board an account of the East India Company's exports from London, between the 29th of September, 1747, and 29th ditto, 1748, to be examined and reported upon.

Ordered that the above account of the exports of the East India Company be compared with the several annual accounts of the same nature since Michaelmas, 1741, as also with those of the eight preceding years, and an exact state thereof laid before the Board, as soon as may be.

South Carolina.

Read a letter from Mr. Solomon Da Costa to the Secretary, dated the 2nd of September, 1748, relating to Mr. Hamilton's last proposal on his petition for a grant of 200,000 acres of land in South Carolina [vide minutes of 8th July, 1748], signifying that, if the Board think proper to comply therewith, they will then consider in what manner to carry the same into execution.

Ordered that the Secretary do write to Mr. Soloman Da Costa to know positively whether he and his associates will adhere to their former proposition of advancing £6000 [vide minutes 22nd December, 1747], in case the Board shall think proper to recommend the making a grant to Mr. Hamilton, according to his said proposal.

Friday, December 9. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Virginia.

The draught of an additional instruction to Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, impowering him to make a grant or grants of 200,000 acres of land beyond the Great Mountains, ordered to be prepared by the preceding minutes, pursuant to an Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, therein mentioned, was laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed, and the draught of a report thereupon ordered to be prepared.

Ordered that this draught of a letter to Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, in answer to one from him, dated the 16th June last, relating to the above affair, be prepared.

Tuesday, December 13. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Virginia.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council, accompanying an additional instruction to Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, relating to grants of land beyond the Great Mountains, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed; and a letter to Sir William Gooch, in answer to one from him, relating to the above affair, ordered to be prepared by the said minutes, was agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.

North Carolina.

The draught of an additional instruction to Gabriel Johnston, Esquire, Governor of North Carolina, directing him to make a grant to certain Palatines in that province, who have been dispossessed of lands formerly granted to them by the Crown by Colonel Thomas Pollock and his heirs, of so much land, as shall be equivalent to what they have been so dispossessed of, ordered to be prepared by the minutes of the 8th instant, pursuant to an Order of the Lords of the Committee of Council, therein mentioned, was laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed, and the draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee thereupon, ordered to be prepared.

Jamaica.

Read the following letters and papers received from Mr. Trelawney, Governor of Jamaica, viz.:—
Letter from Mr. Trelawney, Governor of Jamaica, to the Board, dated the 20th of August, 1748, recommending two gentlemen to supply the next vacancies that shall happen in his Majesty's Council in that Island.
Letter from Mr. Trelawney, Governor of Jamaica, to the Board, dated the 17th of October, 1748, proposing the establishment of a civil government at the Mosquito Shore, and inclosing,
Copy of a letter from Mr. Richard Jones to Governor Trelawney, dated 22nd September, 1748, in relation to the Mosquito Shore.

Ordered that the draught of a letter be prepard to his Grace the Duke of Bedford, one of his Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, to inclose a copy of the above letter from Mr. Trelawney, and of the paper therein inclosed, relating to the Mosquito Shore.

South Carolina.

Read a letter from Mr. Solomon Da Costa, dated the 12th of December, 1748, in answer to one from Mr. Hill, mentioned in the minutes of the 8th instant, desiring him to acquaint the Board, that the intention of himself and his associates was to make the first outset with £2000, and that they should increase that sum, if they found it answer their expectations.

Ordered that the draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council, be prepared, pursuant to their Lordships' order, referring Mr. Hamilton's petition for 200,000 acres of land in South Carolina, mentioned in the minutes of the 6th of April last, which their lordships are of opinion will not be for his Majesty's service to comply with, Mr. Hamilton not having laid any thing before the Board, that can induce them to think that he can carry his proposals into effect, as a foundation for making such grant.

Virginia.

The draught of a letter to Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, in answer to one from him relating to grants of land on the western side of the Great Mountains, having been transcribed, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.

North Carolina.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council, accompanying an additional instruction to Gabriel Johnston, Esquire, Governor of North Carolina, empowering him to make a grant or grants of lands to Palatines in that province, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Jamaica.

The draught of a letter to the Duke of Bedford, inclosing the copy of one from Mr. Trelawney, Governor of Jamaica, relating to the establishment of a form of government on the Mosquito Shore, as also the copy of one to the said Governor from Mr. Jones, engineer upon that Shore, with a description of the country, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

South Carolina.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council upon Mr. Hamilton's petition for 200,000 acres of land in the province of South Carolina, ordered to be prepared by the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Trade.

Africa.

Read a memorial of the Royal African Company to the Board, dated the 8th of December, 1748, relating to a security for the due application of the money petitioned for by them, and which the House of Commons addressed his Majesty to issue to them in 1745, and inclosing:—
Letter from Messrs. Richard Stockwell and William Husbands to the Court of Assistants of the Royal African Company, relating to the faithful discharge of their respective trusts as agents for that Company upon the coast of Africa. Dated the 8th instant.

Ordered that the Secretary do write to the Deputy Governor and Court of Assistants of the Royal African Company to desire their attendance on the subject of the above memorial, on Tuesday next, and to desire them to give notice to Messrs. Stockwell and Husbands to attend on the same day.

Ordered that the Secretary do likewise write to Mr. Paterson, agent for the creditors of the said Company, and to Mr. Crichton, whose petition is under the consideration of the Board, to acquaint them with the above memorial, and that the said Company are to attend thereupon on Tuesday next, that if the creditors have anything to offer thereupon, they may have an opportunity of attending at the same time.

Trade.

East India.

A state of the exports of the East India Company, from Michaelmas, 1747, compared with the eight preceding years, having been prepared, pursuant to the minutes of the 8th instant, was laid before the Board; and the draught of a report thereupon to the Lords of the Committee of Council, pursuant to their several orders, referring to the said exports, was ordered to be prepared.

South Carolina.

Their lordships took into consideration the draught of a letter, in answer to the three last letters from Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina, mentioned in the minutes of the 24th of November last, and made some progress therein.

Trade.

East India.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council, with a state of the East India Company's exports, from Michaelmas, 1741, to Michaelmas last, compared with the exports of the preceding eight years, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.

South Carolina.

The Secretary laid before the Board a list of such foreign Protestants and others, as are settled in South Carolina, and have been naturalized, pursuant to the directions of an Act of Parliament, passed in the 13th year of his present Majesty's reign, from the commencement of that law, received from the Secretary of that province.

Jamaica.

Read Mr. Lamb's report upon 24 Acts, passed in Jamaica in 1747, dated the 2nd of November, 1748, and the Secretary having acquainted the Board that Mr. John Sharpe, agent for the parties concerned, not being able, through sickness, to attend the Board, had desired him to move their lordships that they would lay the five following private Acts, mentioned in the said report, before his Majesty for his approbation, viz.:—
An Act to entitle Jane Augier of the parish of Kingston in the said Island, single woman, and Edward James Augier, Thomas Augier, Peter Augier, and Dorothy Augier, the sons and daughter of the said Jane Augier, all free Mulattoes, to the same rights and privileges with English subjects born of white parents.
An Act to entitle Foster March, Charles March, John March, William March and Anne March, sons and daughter of Foster March, of the parish of St. Catherine, Esquire, by Elizabeth Rogers, a free Mulatto, to the same rights and privileges with English subjects born of white parents.
An Act to entitle Elizabeth Rogers a free Mulatto woman, and Mary Basnet, her daughter, to the same rights and privileges with English subjects born of white parents.
An Act for vesting several parcels of land in the parish of Vere, part of the estate of Milborough, a minor wife of Richard Cargill, Esquire, only daughter and devisee of William Hodgins, Esquire, deceased, in trustees, to be by them sold to pay off his Majesty's quit rents, and the legacies of Edward and Gibbons Hodgins, Esquires, due from the said estate, and for preserving the most improveable and profitable parts thereof for the said Milborough Cargill and others, who may be intituled thereto under the will of William Hodgins, her father.
Jamaica.
An Act for vesting several and various tracts and parcels of uncultivated and waste lands, situate in the precincts of Vere and St. Elizabeth, also a certain piece of pen land or pen, commonly called or known by the name of Mount Pleasant, lying and being in the precinct of St. Andrews', together with all structures and edifices thereon, part of the estate of Jonathan Gale, late of the parish of St. Elizabeth, Esquire, deceased, in Barnart Andries Woodstock, Edward Manning and Peter Serjeant, Esquires, and their heirs, for enabling the said Barnart Andries Woodstock, Edward Manning and Peter Serjeant and their heirs to sell and dispose of the same for the preservation of the most profitable part of his real estate for the benefit of his only son and heir, Henry Gale, a minor, and such other person or persons as shall or may be entituled thereto upon the decease of the said Henry Gale, or otherwise under the last will and testament of the said Jonathan Gale, and for applying the monies arising from the sale thereof towards payment and satisfaction of the quit rents due to his Majesty for the said lands, and of the incumbrances, debts and legacies affecting the estate late of the said Jonathan Gale, Esquire.

Their lordships took the said Acts into consideration, and ordered the draughts of representations to his Majesty to be prepared, proposing the confirmation of the said Acts.

Leeward Islands.

Nevis.

Montserrat.

The Secretary likewise acquainted their Lordships that Mr. Sharpe had desired him to move their lordships that William Jones, Esquire, one of the Council of the Island of Nevis, and Edward Daniel, Esquire, one of the Council in the Island of Montserrat, both appointed by the Governor, might be recommended to his Majesty for his confirmation; and it appearing that the said William Jones and Edward Daniel, Esquires, had served in the said Councils for several years, their lordships ordered the draughts of representations to his Majesty to be prepared, proposing their appointment.

Friday, December 16. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Virginia.

Ordered that the letter to Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, signed by the Board the 14th instant, be not transmitted to him, until their lordships shall be acquainted with the determination of the Lords of the Committee of Council upon the draught of an additional instruction to the said Lieutenant Governor, relating to the making a grant or grants of 200,000 acres of land in that colony, which the Board laid before them the 13th instant.

Jamaica.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty proposing the confirmation of the three Acts, mentioned in the preceding day's minutes, for the denization of several Mulattoes, as also of a like representation proposing the confirmation of those for the sale of the estates of Milborough Cargill and Jonathan Gale, mentioned in the said minutes, having been prepared, pursuant thereto, were laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.

Nevis.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty proposing that William Jones may be appointed of the Council of Nevis, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed, as was also a like representation proposing the appointment of Edward Daniel to be of the Council of Montserrat, ordered to be prepared by the said minutes.

South Carolina.

Their lordships made a further progress in the consideration of the draught of an answer to the three last letters from Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina.

Saturday, December 17. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

East India.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council with a state of the East India Company's exports, from Michaelmas, 1741, to Michaelmas last, compared with the eight preceding years, having been transcribed, pursuant to the minutes of the 15th instant, was laid before the Board and signed.

Nevis.

Montserrat.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty, proposing that William Jones, Esquire, may be appointed of the Council of Nevis, having been transcribed, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board and signed, as was also the draught of a like representation, proposing the appointment of Edward Daniel, Esquire, to be of the Council of Montserrat.

Jamaica.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty, proposing the confirmation of three Acts, passed in Jamaica in 1747, for the denization of certain Mulattoes, as also of a like representation, proposing the confirmation of two other Acts, passed in the said Island in 1747, for sale of the estates of Milborough Cargill and Jonathan Gale, having been transcribed, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.

South Carolina.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina, mentioned in the preceding minutes, was agreed to and ordered to be transcribed. [Signed, December 20th in pencil.]

Bermuda.

Their lordships took into consideration a letter from Mr. Grenville, Governor of Barbados, mentioned in the minutes of the 6th instant, as also several letters from Mr. Popple, Governor of the Bermuda Islands, mentioned in the minutes of the 7th instant, and ordered draughts of answers thereto to be prepared.

Tuesday, December 20. Present:—Earl Halifax, Mr. Pitt, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Trade.

Africa.

Their lordships took into consideration a letter from Messrs. Stockwell and Husbands to the Royal African Company, laid before the Board by the said Company, and mentioned in the minutes of the 14th instant, setting forth that they were informed that the Board were not well satisfied with their being appointed at the head of the Company's affairs in Africa, and containing a vindication of their character, with proposals of security for the faithful discharge of their trusts; and the said gentlemen attending, as had been desired, were called in; and their lordships acquainted them, that they were misinformed as to the particulars set forth in the above letter, and that as the matter before this Board was only to consider of what security the African Company thought proper to give for the due application of the money petitioned for by them, they did not apprehend that the said Messrs. Stockwell and Husbands were at all concerned, nor were their characters ever called in question, neither was it before this Board to consider what security they might think proper to give to the said Company; whereupon the said Stockwell and Husbands, having acquainted their lordships that they were well satisfied therewith, were ordered to withdraw.

Mr. Hayes, the Deputy Governor, and several of the Royal African Company, attending, as had been desired, as also Mr. Crichton and a committee of the creditors of the said Company, the memorial of the said Company, relating to the security they propose for the due application of the money petitioned for by them, mentioned in the minutes of the 14th instant, was read; and the Company being asked, if that was the only proposal they had to make, Mr. Hayes acquainted the Board that the Company could give no other security than was mentioned in the said memorial; whereupon their lordships acquainted them that they understood from what had been offered when they attended the Board before, that the Company proposed giving some security to the publick, whereas the giving a security under their Seal by an application for payment of the money granted, and their taking security of their agents, as proposed in the memorial, appeared to be no more than the private security usually heretofore given by the said Company, and the said Company, having acquainted the Board, that this was the only security they could give, all parties withdrew, and their lordships agreed to consider the same to-morrow morning.

South Carolina.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Glen, Governor of South Carolina, having been transcribed, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.

Barbados.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Grenville, Governor of Barbados, in answer to one from him, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Bermuda.

Nova Scotia.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, in answer to several from him, having been prepared, pursuant to the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board, agreed to and ordered to be transcribed, as was also the draught of a letter to Mr. Mascarene, President of the Council and Commander in Chief of the province of Nova Scotia, in answer to one from him, mentioned in the minutes of the 7th instant.

Africa.

Their lordships, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, took into consideration the reference from the Treasury of the memorial of the Royal African Company for the payment of £10,000, which the House of Commons addressed his Majesty to issue to the said Company in 1745, as also the petition of Mr. David Crichton, praying that several sums of money advanced by him for the service of the said Company may be paid out of the said £10,000, and ordered the draught of a report thereupon to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury to be prepared.

Bermuda.

Nova Scotia.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Popple, Governor of Bermuda, having been transcribed, pursuant to the preceding day's minutes, was laid before the Board and signed, as was also a letter to Mr. Mascarene, President of the Council and Commander in Chief of Nova Scotia, ordered to be transcribed by the said minutes.

Thursday, December 22. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

Jamaica.

Their lordships took into consideration several Acts, passed in the Island of Jamaica in 1747, and ordered the draught of a letter thereupon to Mr. Trelawney, Governor of the said Island, to be prepared.

Tuesday, December 23. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.

New Hampshire.

Their lordships took into consideration sixty Acts, passed in the province of New Hampshire since the year 1742, and ordered the draught of a letter thereupon to Mr. Wentworth, Governor of that province, to be prepared.

Bahamas.

Their lordships Likewise took into consideration four Acts, passed in the Bahama Islands in 1743.
