Tuesday, September 18. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin.
New York.
Read a letter from Mr. Clinton, Governor of New York, to the
Board, dated at Flushing upon Long Island, the 30th of June,
1753, transmitting:—
Minutes of the proceedings between Governor Clinton and a
deputation of the Mohawk Indians at New York in June,
1753.
Printed votes and proceedings of the General Assembly
of New York from the 30th of May to the 4th of July,
1753.
The draught of a letter thereupon to Sir Danvers Osborn, Governor of New York, and also the draught of a circular letter to the Governors of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Massachusets Bay, having been prepared, were agreed to, transcribed and signed.
The draught of a letter to Lord Holdernesse inclosing a copy of the minutes of the proceedings with the Mohawk Indians and also a copy of the Board's letter to Sir Danvers Osborn was prepared, agreed to and signed.

September 19th.
Nova Scotia.
Mr. Hopson, Governor of Nova Scotia, having, in a letter to the Board, lately received, acquainted their lordships, that he had received a letter from the Commander of his Majesty's ship Jason at Boston, informing him that the reason of his not coming to Halifax was, that great part of his men had deserted, the Secretary in the absence of their lordships thought it his duty to transmit that part of Mr. Hopson's letter to the Secretary to the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, to be laid before that Board.
