Footnotes

  • 1. E.359/44, r. 19 records the discharge of the collectors for the £10 assessment in Cheap ward of Anthony Marlowe who is probably the same person as Antony Marler. The enrolled accounts record Marlowe's payment of £10 in Vintry ward, but no Marlowe or Marler was assessed in that ward. One Anthony Marlar was assessed £10 in Cordwainer ward.
  • 2. E.359/44, r. 19 records the discharge of the collectors for assessment in Cheap ward of Bartholomew Osborne, who can probably be identified with Husburd.
