L. Mohun versus Gifford.

ORDERED, That this Day Sevennight, the Nineteenth of this Instant March, is appointed for hearing the Counsel, at this Bar, on the Behalf of the Lord Mohun (a Member of Parliament) on the one Part, and the Counsel of Mrs. Dorothy Gifford on the other Part; who are then to state to this House the Matter of Difference between the said Parties, that such further Directions may be given therein as their Lordships shall think fit.

Bp. of London's Bill.

The Earl of Bollingbrooke reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bishop of London's Bill, and made some Alterations therein, which are offered to the Consideration of the House."

The said Alterations were read Twice, and Agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with those Alterations.

Protestants of Piedmont Bill.

The Lord Viscount Stafford reported, "That the Committee for the Bill concerning the Protestants of Piedmont have considered of it, and thinks it fit to pass, with some few Alterations; which are offered to their Lordships Consideration."

Which Alterations, being read Twice, were Agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with those Alterations.

Oakover's Bill.

The Bishop of Sarum reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill to enable Rowland Oakeover to sell some Lands, for Payment of Debts; to which Bill all Parties concerned are consenting: But the Committee have thought fit to make some Amendments therein, which are offered to the Consideration of this House." And, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Rowland Oakeover Esquire to sell some Lands, for the Payment of his Debts."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill with the Amendments now read, shall pass ?"

It is Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill to confirm Second Acts.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported from the Committee, the Bill for confirming several Acts, as fit to pass, as it came from the House of Commons.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming several Acts, therein mentioned."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass ?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Admiralty Jurisdiction Bill.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill for the Court of Admiralty shall meet on Friday next, in the Afternoon.

Bill for Relief of Officers, &c. maimed in the King's Service.

The Earl of Anglesey reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill concerning Relief of poor and maimed Soldiers; and do think it fit to pass as it is, without any Amendments."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Relief of poor and maimed Soldiers and Officers, who have faithfully served His Majesty and His Royal Father in the late Wars."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass ?"

It is Resolved in the Affirmative.
