The Lord Fynch reported the Bill for making of Baizes in Colchester, as fit to pass as it is.

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass as a Law?"

Poole versus Thompson.

Upon reading the Petition of Stephen Poole, against Thomas Thompson:

It is ORDERED, That his Order for securing the Tithes of the Rectory of Cranworth, in the County of Norfolke, granted to Thompson, is revoked and made void.

Provost of Eaton versus The Tenants.

Upon reading the Petition of the Provost of Eaton, against the Tenants:

It is ORDERED, That the Cause on both Sides shall be heard, at this Bar, on the 20th of November next.

Bitch versus Evans.

Upon the Petition of Thomas Birch Clerk:

It is ORDERED, That the general Order made to Will. Evans, Doctor in Divinity, is hereby revoked and made void.

Marq. of Winton's Order.

ORDERED, That the Sheriff of Dorsetshire doth forthwith deliver into the Possession of the Marquis of Winton, or his Assigns, the Farm of Stepleton.

Col. Hunt released.

ORDERED, That Colonel Hunt is released of his present Restraint, paying his Fees to the Officers of this House.

Bill for disbanding the Army, &c.

The Lord Fynch reported the Bill for disbanding the Army, as fit to pass, with some Alterations and Proviso; which the Committee offers to their Lordships Consideration.

The said Amendments and Proviso were read Twice.

Message from H. C. for a Conference about it.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord Bruce, &c.

To desire a Free Conference, concerning the Matter of the last Conference.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That their Lordships will give a Free Conference, as is desired; and their Lordships do appoint it to be presently, in the Painted Chamber.

Newport Free-school Bill.

The Earl of Berks reported the Bill concerning the Free-school in Newport, as fit to pass as it is.

The Lord Chancellor, the Lord Robertes, and the Lord Fynch, are appointed to report this next Free Conference.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill concerning Ministers do meet at Three of the Clock this Afternoon.

Message from H. C. to expedite the Bill for restoring Ministers.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bamfeild, &c.

To let their Lordships know, that the Countries are much unquiet, by reason so many good Ministers have been ejected; therefore they desire their Lordships would please to give Dispatch to the Bill for the quieting and restoring of Ministers.

The Answer returned was:

That their Lordships are in Consideration of the Bill for Ministers.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference with the House of Commons; which being ended, the House was resumed.

Report of the Conference, concerning the Bill for disbanding the Army.

The Lord Chancellor reported the Effect of the Conference with the House of Commons, upon the Matter of the Conference Yesterday, concerning the Bill for disbanding the Army:

"That the House of Commons have made a Vote, That a Fourth Part of the Money to be raised by the Poll Bill shall be employed, proportionably, to the paying off the Five and Twenty Ships come in from Sea, which * lie in Harbour upon Wages and Victuals; and after, for the paying off such other Ships as the same will further extend unto; and that the House of Commons are in Preparation of an Assessment, for the further Supply of the Army and Navy: And concerning the Hospital of maimed Soldiers, they will in convenient Time consider of them."

King's Answer, concerning Sir H. Vane and Lambert.

The Lord Chancellor reported, "That he had presented the Petition of both Houses to the King, concerning Sir Henry Vane and Colonel Lambert; and His Majesty grants the Desires in the said Petition."

Order for Delivery of Stapleton Farm to the Marq. of Winton.

The House being informed, "That some Neglect hath been, in giving Obedience to the Orders of this House, for the delivering of Possession of some of the Lands of the Lord Marquis of Winchester into his Hands:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the Sheriff of the County of Dorsett shall forthwith, after Sight of this Order, deliver the Possession of the Farm of Steepleton, in the said County, unto the Lord Marquis of Winchester, his Assignee or Assigns: And this to be his Warrant in that Behalf.

Poole versus Thompson, about the Rectory of Cranworth.

Upon reading the Petition of Stephen Poole Clerk, and an Affidavit thereunto annexed; shewing, "That Thomas Thompson Clerk, formerly Incumbent of the Rectory of Cranworth cum Letton, in the County of Norff. was ejected out of the said Rectory, for his ill Life and Conversation:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the general Order, as to the said Thomas Thompson, is hereby revoked and made void; and that the Petitioner shall have and enjoy the Tithes and Profits of the said Rectory, as though no such Order had issued out on his Behalf; any Thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding.

Order for Delivery of L. Culpeper's Writings to him.

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That all such Deeds, Writings, Evidences, Books, Court Rolls, Surveys, and Papers whatsoever, belonging to, or which do concern, Thomas Lord Culpeper, Baron of Thorswey, that are in the Hands, Custody, or Possession, of any Person or Persons belonging to Drury House, shall be forthwith, upon Sight hereof, delivered up unto the said Lord Culpeper, or his Assigns: And this shall be their sufficient Warrant and Discharge in that Behalf.

Edwards versus Chase, about the Rectory of Chislehurst.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Edwards, Minister of Chislehurst, in the County of Kent; shewing, "That Richard Chase Clerk had, upon false Suggestion, obtained the general Order of this House, for the securing of the Tithes and other Profits of the Rectory of Chislehurst aforesaid, pretending he was illegally sequestered or ejected, whereas he had long since freely and voluntarily resigned the same;" and for that the Premises is, by particular Order of His Sacred Majesty, referred to the Determination of the Lord Bishop of Rochester:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the said general Order, as to the said Richard Chase, is hereby revoked and made void; and that the Petitioner shall have and enjoy the Tithes and Profits of the said Rectory, as though no such Order had been issued out; any Thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding.

Order for Delivery of the E. of Derby's Writings to him.

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That all such Deeds, Writings, Evidences, Books, Court Rolls, Surveys, and Papers whatsoever, belonging to the Earl of Derby, that are in the Hands, Custody, or Possession, of Ralph Darnall Esquire, or in the Hands, or Custody, or Possession, of any other Person or Persons to his Use, and by his Appointment, shall be forthwith, upon Sight hereof, delivered unto the said Earl of Derby, or his Agents or Assigns.

Birch versus Evans, concerning the Rectory of Hampton Bishop.

Upon reading of the Petition of Thomas Birch Clerk; shewing, "That Doctor William Evans pretends that he hath been forcibly ejected out of the Rectory of Hampton Bishop, in the County of Hereford;" which appears not to the Lords in Parliament:

It is ORDERED, by their Lordships, That the general Order, as to the said Doctor William Evans, is hereby revoked and made void; and that the Petitioner shall have and enjoy the Tithes and Profits of the said Rectory, as though no such Order had been issued out as aforesaid; any Thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding.

Col. Hunt released.

ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That Colonel Hunt is, and shall be, freed of and from any Restraint, by any Order of this House, or from or by any Cause of Restraint, by virtue of any Order formerly issued by their Lordships; paying the Fees to the Officers belonging to the said House: And this to be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.

1. For naturalizing the Countess of Derby and others; to which they agree.

2. A Bill of Thomas Lord Culpeper; wherein they have made some few Alterations, to which they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

The Amendments were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Message from thence, with a Bill; and to put off the Adjournment of the Houses.

A Message was brought from the House of Comons, by the Lord Angier, &c.

To return a Bill concerning the Lord Insiquin, wherein they agree, with some Alterations.

2. To let their Lordships know, that they have several * Businesses before them of very great Concernment, which will require some further Time to dispatch them; therefore they desire their Lordships would please to concur with them, that His Majesty be moved, that the Adjournment of the Houses may be on Tuesday Morning next; and then to give His Royal Assent to the Bills that will be ready against that Time.

King's Answer about the Adjournment.

The Lord Chamberlain signified to the House, "That His Majesty is willing that the Adjournment of the Houses be deferred until Tuesday Morning next."

L. Inchiquin's Bill.

The Amendments in the Lord Insiquin's Bill were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Message to H. C. to remind them of the Bill for Patents, &c.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edmond Peirce and Mr. Glascocke:

That whereas, some Days ago, this House did send to them a Bill concerning bringing in of Patents and Grants, which their Lordships conceive to be of Public Concernment; therefore to put them in Mind of it.

L. Lauderdale versus Ireton.

ORDERED, That the Lord Lauderdail's Cause shall be heard on Monday Morning next.

Cary versus Cromwell.

ORDERED, That Mr. Carie's Cause shall be heard on Monday Morning next; and then also the Consideration of the Lord Lexinton's Business; and Mrs. Rodney' Business then to be considered of.

Message from H. C. with a Bill; and to remind the Lords of the Durham Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Annesley; who brought up a Bill for the raising of Seventy Thousand Pounds, for the speedy Supply of His Majesty's Occasions.

2. To put their Lordships in Mind of a Bill brought up formerly, concerning the Bishopric of Durham to send Knights to the Parliament.

Bill for disbanding the Army.

Next, the Bill for disbanding the Army and Garrisons, was reported from the Committee, with some Amendments and a Proviso; which were read Twice, and approved of; and then the said Bill was read the Third Time, with the Amendments and Proviso.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the speedy disbanding the Army and Garrisons of this Kingdom."

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Alterations, Amendments, and Proviso now read, shall pass as a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill to raise 70,000 £.

Hodie 1a, 2a, et 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the raising of Seventy Thousand Pounds, for the present Supply of His Majesty."

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass as a Law?"
