ORDERED, That the Petition of Colonel Thomas Veale is referred to the Consideration of the Lords Committees for Petitions; who are to report the same to this House.

Message from H. C. with Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord Viscount Cornberry and others; who brought up Two Bills, which had passed the House of Commons, wherein they desire their Lordships Concurrence:

1. "An Act for a free and voluntary Present to His Majesty."

2. "An Act for Repeal of an Act of Parliament, intituled, An Act for disenabling all Persons in Holy Orders to exercise any Temporal Jurisdiction or Authority."

ORDERED, That these Two Bills be read To-morrow Morning, the First Business.

Bill to vacate Sir Ed. Powell's Fines.

Upon reading this Day the Second Time an Act for making void certain Fines, unduly procured to be levied, by Sir Edw. Powell and Dame Mary his Wife; and hearing Counsel touching the Allegations in the said Bill; and after Debate thereof:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That this House adjourns this Debate, to be resumed again on Monday Morning next, the 17th of this Instant June; and then to hear Witnesses in Matter of Fact touching the same; and that Warrants for Witnesses on both Sides are to be issued out, as their Names shall be returned to the Clerk of the Parliaments.
