Lee versus Sir H. Pigott.

The Earl of Bollingbrooke reported from the Committee of Petitions, "That whereas the Cause between Goddard Lee and Sir Henry Pigott was re-committed to them, their Lordships have heard the same fully; but the Committee are of Opinion, That it is a Cause worthy to be heard by Counsel at this Bar, in regard of the Difficulty of it:"

It is ORDERED, To be re-committed to the Committee for Petitions, to prepare a State of the Business, and report the same to the House; and then further Consideration will be had thereupon.

Bill for Execution of Persons attainted.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Execution of certain Persons attainted of High Treason."

Dudston and Kingsbarton Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the disuniting of Dudston and Kingsbarton from the Country of the City of Gloucester, and restoring them to be Part of the County of Gloucester."

Collectors, &c. of Public Monies, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Relief of Collectors of Public Monies, and their Assistants and Deputies."

Bill for confirming Three Acts.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming Three Acts, therein particularly mentioned, with Additions and Alterations to the last of them."

ORDERED, That this Bill is committed to the Committee of the whole House; to be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning next.

The Question being put, "Whether this Committee of the whole House shall be restrained to the confirming of the said Act without the Provisos, only with a Liberty to speak to the Point of Ordination?"

The Votes, with the Proxies, were equal.

And the Earl of Dorsett minding the House of the ancient Rule in this Case, Semper præsumitur pro Negante, it was determined accordingly in the Negative.
