ORDERED, That the Lord Berkley of Straton is added to the Committee for the Bill of Uniformity.

Order to prevent Riots in Hatfield Level.

Upon the Petition of the Participants of the Level of Hatfeild Chace, in the Counties of Yorke, Lyncolne, and Nottingham; shewing, "That several Persons have of late, in a very riotous and tumultuous Manner, disturbed the quiet Possession of the Petitioners:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the quite Possession of the said Seven Thousand Four Hundred Acres of Lands mentioned in the said Petition, and lying in the said Level of Hatfeild Chace, shall be continued in the Hands of the Participants as it now is, until the Right of the Parties concerned be determined by due Course of Law; and that the several Sheriffs and Justices of the Peace, in the respective Counties wherein the said Level lies, shall take special Care to prevent all Riots, Routs, and unlawful Assemblies, that shall be had or made in or upon the said Level, or any Part thereof, for or by reason of any Cause or Pretence of Right of any Persons interessed whatsoever; and to keep the Peace, according to the Laws of the Land, until the Right be determined as aforesaid: And all Parties any ways concerned in the Premises are to take Notice of this Order, being published in the several Market Towns next adjoining to the said Level, who are to yield Obedience hereunto, as the contrary will be answered at their Perils.
