Message from H. C. with a Bill; and to return Two.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Clifford and others; who brought up these Bills following:
1. "An Act for taking away Damage Clear, in the County Palatine of Lancaster;" to which the Commons desire their Lordships Concurrence.
2. They return Two Bills sent down, wherein the Commons have made some Alterations, and desire their Lordships Concurrence therein:
1. The Bill against deceitful, disorderly, and excessive Gaming.
2. The Bill concerning the erecting of a Church at Falmouth.
Bill against seditious Conventicles.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to prevent and suppress seditious Conventicles."
The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Alterations, Amendments, and Provisos now read, shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, That these Alterations be communicated to the House of Commons, at a Conference.
Message to H. C. for a Conference about it.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Walter Littleton and Sir Toby Wolridge:
To desire a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, touching the Bill to prevent and suppress seditious Conventicles.
The Earl of Bridgwater and the Lord Mobun were appointed to manage this Conference; and acquaint them with Reasons and Considerations, which moved their Lordships to make the Alterations.
Answer.
The Messengers sent to the House of Commons return Answer:
That they will give a Conference, as is desired.
Malvern Chace Bill.
The Earl of Petriburgh reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill for the Confirmation of the Enclosure and Improvement of Malverne Chace; and their Lordships have heard Mr. Attorney General on Behalf of the King; and all other Parties therein concerned do agree and consent to the passing of the said Bill." Whereupon,

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Ly. Sayer & al. Nat. Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for naturalizing of Dame Katherine Sayer and others."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following; and their Lordships to have Power to add those Two Persons which his Royal Highness moved for this Day, to be inserted in the said Bill:
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet this Afternoon, at Five of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings; and to adjourn as they shall see Cause.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference with the House of Commons; which being ended, the House was resumed.
Report of the Conference on the Bill against Conventicles.
And the Earl of Bridgwater gave the House this Account: "That his Lordship and the Lord Mobun had observed their Lordships Commands, and delivered the Bill against Conventicles, with the Alterations, to the Members of the House of Commons."
Bill to continue the Act for regulating the Press.
Then the Lord Viscount Say et Seale reported, That the Committee have considered of the Bill for regulating Printing; and think it fit to pass as it is, without any Amendment."

Message from H. C. with Armyn's Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Ingram and others; who returned a Bill concerning the Sale of the Manor of Ingoldsby, wherein their Lordships made some Alterations, to which the Commons do agree.
Sir Sack. Glemham's Bill.
The Earl of Dorset reported from the Committee, the Bill for Sale of Lands, for Payment of Sir Sackvile Glemham's Debts; for the passing of which, all Parties have been heard, and are consenting to the passing of it.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Sale of certain Lands, for Payment of the Debts of Sir Sackvile Glemham."
The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Sir W Keyte's Bill.
Also the Earl of Dorset reported, "That the Committee having considered of the Bill to enable Trustees of Sir William Keyte to sell Lands, for the Payment of Debts; and heard all Parties concerned, who are consenting to the passing of it; their Lordships think it fit to pass, without any Amendments."

Lewesham Free-schools, &c. Bill.
The Lord Viscount Say et Seale reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill concerning Abraham Colfe's Free-school; and think it fit to pass as it is."
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for settling the Charitable Gift of Abraham Colfe Clerk, for erecting and endowing Two Free-schools, and an Alms-house, at Lewisham, in Kent."

Falmouth Church Bill.
Next, the Alterations which the House have made in the Bill for erecting a Church in Falmouth were read Twice.
And the House Resolved, To have a Conference with the House of Commons about them To-morrow.
Ld. Byron, Privilege; Sheriff of Nott. to restore his Goods taken on a Levari facias.
Upon Information this Day to this House, "That the Sheriff of the County of Nottinghamshire did, on the Fifth Day of this Instant May, seize and carry away several Goods of the Lord Byron, a Peer of this Realm, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, by virtue of a Levari facias out of the Court of Exchequer:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sheriff is hereby required, immediately upon the Sight hereof, at his Peril, to restore the said Goods to his Lordship, or whom he shall appoint to receive the same: And this shall be a sufficient Warrant for his so doing.
D. Richmond and Ly. Dacres, concerning Sutton Marsh.
Upon reading the Petition of Charles Duke of Richmond; shewing, "That he is lawfully seised of Sutton Marsh, in the County of Lyncolne; but the Lady D'acres, pretending a Title thereunto, hath obtained a Trial to be had in the Exchequer, on the 18th Day of this Instant May; and that because, by a Treaty propounded and accepted on both Sides for determining all Suits concerning the same, which is lately broken off, his Lordship cannot be in Readiness for the said Trial by Reason of the far Distance his material Witnesses are at from London:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Duke of Richmond shall be allowed his Privilege of Parliament in this Case; and that no further Proceedings in the said Cause shall be made during the Time of the said Privilege of Parliament: And hereof all Counsellors, Solicitors, Attornies, and others whom it may concern, are to take Notice, and yield their Obedience.
