MEMORANDUM, quod hodierno die, (videlicet,) vicesimo die Februarii, Anno Regni Serenissimi Domini nostri Caroli Secundi, Dei Gratiâ, Angliæ, Scotiæ, Franciæ, et Hib. Regis, Fidei Defensoris, Decimo Octavo, in quem diem prorogat. suit hoc præsens Parliamentum, convenere Domini tam Spirituales quam Temporales quorum Nomina subscribuntur:

The Lord Archbishop of Cant. sat Speaker this Day, by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal for that Purpose.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, that the Lords might put on their Robes.
The House being resumed;
Message to H. C. to come and hear the Commission read.
The Usher of the Black Rod, by Command of the House, went to desire the Commons to come up, with their Speaker, to take Notice of the further Prorogation of the Parliament, by virtue of His Majesty's Commission under the Great Seal of England.
The Commons being come, with their Speaker; the Clerk of the Parliaments Deputy presented His Majesty's Commission to the Lord Archbishop of Cant. (being now placed on a Form set across the House after the usual Manner) with the Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Bridgwater, and the Earl of Craven, Commissioners also.
The Archbishop of Cant. said,
"Mr. Speaker, and ye Gentlemen of the House of Commons,"
"It is His Majesty's Pleasure that this Parliament shall be prorogued to a further Time, as you will hear by His Majesty's Commission to that Purpose."
Then the Commission being delivered to the Clerk of the Parliaments Deputy (in his Absence), it was read, in these Words:
