The Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas sat Speaker this Day, in the Absence of the Lord Keeper, being not well.

The Lord North is added to the Committee for the Bill against burning of Ricks of Corn, &c.

The King's Thanks for the Lords Address.

The Lord Chief Justice reported, "That he did this Morning read unto His Majesty their Lordships Thanks, for His Gracious Presence in this House, and delivered the same. And His Majesty said, He did take this very kindly from their Lordships, and should be ready upon all Occasions to express His Affections to their Lordships."

Corn and Salt Measures Bill.

Also his Lordship reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for making navigable the Rivers of Brandon and Waveney, and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments and Alterations."

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to.
