Bill to unite Ross Vicarage and Parsonage

Bill to prevent Frauds in Servants.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill to prevent Fraud and Deceit in Servants shall meet on Saturday next, in the Afternoon: And the Lord Arrundell is added to that Committee.

The Earl of Winchilsea is added to the Committee concerning the Lord Steward.

Bill to prevent Frauds in the Exportation of Wool, &c.

The Earl of Dorsett reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill to prevent the Exportation of Wool and Woolfells, &c. and have made several Alterations therein."

Which were read Twice; and, after Debate thereof,

The Question being put, "Whether to agree to these Amendments?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Bill, with these Amendments, shall be engrossed.

Lord Lovelace versus Cotton and Clements, Privilege.

Upon reading the Petition of John Lord Lovelace, a Peer of this Realm, and Oath made at the Bar of this House by George Shipway, whereby it appeareth, That Benjamin Cotton and Richard Clements, Bailiffs, came to the Lord Lovelace's House, on the Ninth of this Instant January, upon Pretence of seizing the Cattle of George Batt, menial Servant to the said Lord Lovelace; and, though they were warned of the Privilege of the said George Batt, seized and drove away Three Cows of the Lord Lovelace; declaring that they cared not for what was told them:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, shall forthwith attach the Bodies of the said Benjamin Cotton and Richard Clements, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for their said Offences; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

Adjourn.
