Bill to prevent Delays in extending Statutes, &c.

The Lord Powis reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for continuing a former Act to prevent Delays in extending Statutes, Judgements, and Recognizances; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Continuance of a former Act, intituled, An Act to prevent Delays in extending Statutes, Judgements, and Recognizances."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message from H. C. to return the E. of Shrewsbury's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by George Wylde Esquire, &c. who returned the Bill to enable the Guardians of the Earl of Shrewsbury to dispose of Lands for his Benefit; to which they do agree, with some Amendments, and desire their Lordships Concurrence thereunto.

The said Amendments, being read Twice, were Agreed to; and then were read the Third Time.

Sir P. Howard's and Watson's Bill.

The Earl of Dorsett reported, "That the Committee have further considered the Bill for granting to Sir Phillip Howard and Francis Watson the sole Use of a Manufacture or Invention for the Benefit of Shipping, and have made some Amendments therein."

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for granting to Sir Phillip Howard and Francis Watson Esquire the sole Use of a Manufacture or Invention for the Benefit of Shipping."

Before the putting the Question, certain Words in the Preamble were left out, and a Proviso offered to be added at the Table; which Proviso, being read Thrice, was Agreed to.

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments and Proviso now read, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill for revesting Wine Licenses in the King.

The Earl of Essex reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for revesting the Power of granting Wine Licenses in His Majesty, His Heirs and Successors, &c. and have made some Amendments and Additions therein."

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "Act for revesting the Power of granting Wine Licenses in His Majesty, His Heirs and Successors, and for settling a Recompense on his Royal Highness in Lieu thereof."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments and Additions now read, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with these Bills.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Sir William (fn. 1) Bevershall, which consisted of these Particulars:

To return the Bill for revesting the Power of granting Wine Licenses in His Majesty, &c. to which the Lords do agree, with some Amendments and Additions; to which the Lords desire their Concurrence.

To return the Bill concerning Sir Phillip Howard and Francis Watson, wherein the Lords have made some Amendments, and have added a Proviso; to which their Concurrence is desired.

To return the Bill for Continuance of a former Act concerning extending of Statutes, &c. wherein the Lords have made some Amendments, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

To let them know, that the Lords do agree with them in the Amendments made in the Bill concerning the Earl of Shrewsbury.

Adjourn.
