New Buildings in London, to prevent the Increase of, Bill.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill against Buildings is revived; to sit To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Three of the Clock.

Bill against clandestine Marriages.

The Committee for the Bill against clandestine Marriages are appointed to meet on Thursday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock.

Geery's Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for settling certain Lands belonging to Will. Geery, of Bushmead, in the County of Bedford, upon Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill "shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Trevor and others; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for raising the Sum of "Five Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-eight Pounds, Two Shillings, and Two Pence Halfpenny, for the speedy building of Thirty Ships of War;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

Message to them, with Geery's Bill.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir John Francklyn:

To deliver the Bill concerning Mr. Geerie's Estate, and to desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Message from H. C. with a Bill; and to return the following ones.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Pettus and others; which consisted of these Particulars:

1. To return the Bill concerning the Earl of Manchester; to which they agree, with the Addition of a Proviso, and desire their Lordships Concurrence therein.

2. To return the Bill for naturalizing of Peter Renue and others; to which the Commons have added some more Persons, and *desire their Lordships Concurrence therein.

3. To return the Bill concerning Sir Francis Compton; to which the Commons agree, without any Amendments.

4. To return the Bill concerning Sir Edward Hungerford; to which the Commons agree † as it is.

5. To present a Bill, passed by the House of Commons, intituled, "An Act for the better repairing of "Churches;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

E. of Manchester's Bill.

Then the Proviso to the Earl of Manchester's Bill was read Thrice, and Agreed to.

Also the Names of those Persons to be added to the Bill for naturalizing of Peter Renue and others, were read Twice, and ordered to be engrossed.

The Earl of Craven reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill to enable Trustees to sell Lands for Payment of the Debts of Thomas Barkeley; and having heard all Parties concerned, and received their Assent, do think the said Bill fit to pass as it is."

Then,

Barkeley's Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Thomas Barkeley Esquire and his Trustees to sell Lands, for Payment of the Debts of the said Thomas Barkeley, and raising Portions for his Younger Children."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill "shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill for repairing of Churches.

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the better "repairing of Churches."

The Earl of Bristoll is added to the Committee for the Bill for Printing.

Supply Bill for building Ships of War.

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for raising the Sum of Five Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-eight Pounds, Two Shillings, and Two Pence Halfpenny, for the speedy building of Thirty Ships of War."

ORDERED, That this Bill be read the Second Time this Afternoon.

E. Dorset, Privilege, Gardiner & al. to be attached, for co., emptuous Words.

Upon Complaint made to this House, and Oath made at the Bar, "That Samuell Gardiner, William Fetherstone, and John Date, have uttered contemptuous Words against the Earl of Dorset, a Peer of this Realm:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in the Parliament assembled, That the said Samuell Gardiner, William Featherstone, and John Date, be, and are hereby required to appear at the Bar of this House To-morrow at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to answer to the said Complaint; and hereof they may not fail.

Tresilian & al. versus Tremenheere & al. in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of John Tremenheere and Thomas Benner, Merchants; praying, "That they may have a longer Time given them, for perusing and producing what is proper and advisable to be exhibited by them upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Paschow Tresilian and Fifteen other Persons are Plaintiffs, and the said John Tremenheere and Thomas Benner are Defendants:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Tremenheere and Thomas Benner have hereby Time given them, to join Issue upon the Errors assigned by the said Paschow Tresilian and others, till the End of Three Days next after the first Sitting of the Parliament next after Easter Weeke.

The Earl of Dorset reported from the Committee the Bill concerning the Stannaries, with some Amendments; which, being read Twice, were Agreed to, and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the Amendments.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have been in Consideration of the said Bill, and have thought fit to make some small (fn. 3) Amendments therein."

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed; and the House agreed to the Bill with the said Amendments; and ORDERED, That the Bill be read To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, the First Business.
