Bampfield versus Rogers.

Whereas Anne Rogers was, by Order of the 11th Instant, required to put in an Answer, in Writing, to the Petition of Warwick Bampfeild, John Winter, and Thomas Warr, depending in this House against her, on Saturday the 18th Instant, on which Day the Parliament was not sitting; nor is the said Answer since brought in:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Anne Rogers be, and is hereby, required to put in her Answer in Writing to the said Petition, peremptorily, within Four Days next after Notice given her of this Order, by leaving a Copy thereof at her Place of Abode; and hereof she may not fail.

Walker, Lord Cromwell's Servant, Privilege.

Upon Complaint made to this House, "That James Walker, owned by the Lord Cromwell a Peer of this Realm to be his menial Servant, is arrested, now sitting the Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, by Daniell Beverly Serjeant at Mace of Woodstreat Compter, and William Newton, at the Suit of Robert Bates, by the Prosecution of John Foster an Attorney:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Bates, John Foster, Daniell Beverly, and William Newton, be, and are hereby, required to appear at the Bar of this House, to answer to the said Complaint, on Monday next, being the 27th Day of this Instant May, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and hereof they may not fail.

Walker discharged. Bates & al. sent for.

Upon Information given to this House, "That James Walker, owned by the Lord Cromwell a Peer of this Realm to be his menial Servant, is arrested, and detained Prisoner in The Compter of Woodstreete, at the Suit of Robert Bates, now sitting the Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said James Walker be immediately discharged from his present Arrest and Imprisonment; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To the Sheriffs of London and Midd. and to the Keeper of the said Compter Prison, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them.

Adjourn.
