Sir Ed. Hungerford's Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Sir Edward Hungerford, Knight of the Bath, to make Leases for Years of Hungerford House, in The Strand, in the Parish of St. Martin's in the Fields, in the County of Midd."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with these Bills.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Beversham and Sir John Francklyn;

To deliver these Bills following, and to desire their Concurrence thereunto:

1. The Bill for Preservation of Fishing in several Rivers.

2. The Bill for Payment of Church Rates, Small Tithes, &c.

3. The Bill concerning Sir Francis Compton.

4. The Bill concerning Sir Edward Hungerford.

Ledbury Vicarage Bill.

The Bishop of Winton reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for Augmentation of the Vicarage of Ledbury; and are of Opinion that it is fit to be engrossed, with adding of a Proviso."

Which Proviso being read Twice, and Agreed to; the Bill was ordered to be engrossed, with the said Proviso.

Protestant Strangers Bill.

Hodie 1 vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the empowering and licensing Protestant Strangers to set up, for the Increase and Benefit of Trade."

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the Bill for the more effectual Conviction and Prosecution of Popish Recusants.

The House was resumed.

Message from H. C. with Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Knight and others; who brought Two Bills, to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired:

1. "An Act for the better securing the Liberty of the Subject."

2. "An Act to revive and continue a late Act, intituled, An Act giving Liberty to buy and export Leather and Skins, tanned or dressed."

Bill for more effectual Conviction of Popish Recusants.

The House was again adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the Bill for Conviction of Popish Recusants.

The House being resumed;

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have proceeded further in the Bill concerning Conviction of Popish Recusants, and have almost gone through it; but desire the House would please to appoint another Day for the Committee to meet again."

And the House appointed To-morrow Morning for that Purpose.

The Committee which should have (fn. 1) met this Afternoon to consider of the Privileges of this House is put off until Thursday next.

Adjourn.
