L. Crew takes the Oaths.

This Day Thomas Lord Crewe took the Oaths of Supremacy and Allegiance, and subscribed the Declaration, according to the Statute made in the 28th Year of King Charles the Second.

Winford versus Atkins.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Winford Esquire, from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer, wherein Sir Rob't Atkins Knight of the Honourable Order of the Bath, and Sir Edward Atkins One of the Barons of the said Court of Exchequer, were Plaintiffs, and the said Thomas Windford Defendant, made the 30th Day of October 1684; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Robert Atkins and Sir Edward Atkins may have a Copy of the said Petition, and be, and are hereby, required to put in an Answer or Answers thereunto in Writing, at the Bar of this House, on Wednesday the Tenth Day of June Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Thomas Windford is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Sir Robert and Sir Edward Atkins for that Purpose.

Sir O. Butler versus Sir P. Warwick's Executors.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Oliver Butler Knight and Baronet; shewing, "That he hath an Appeal depending in this House, whereunto Sir Phillip Warwick was Defendant; and praying, That Mathew Johnson Esquire, John Tench, and Anthony Bolton, may be made Parties to the said Appeal, as Executors to Sir Phillip Warwick:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Mathew Johnson, John Tench, and Anthony Bolton, may have a Copy of this Petition; and be, and are hereby, required to put in an Answer thereunto, and shew Cause why the said Appeal should not be revived; whereof the said Sir Oliver Butler is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Mathew Johnson, John Tench, and Anthony Bolton, for that Purpose.

Bampfield & al. versus Popham.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Warwick Bamfeild, and John Winter Senior, and Sir John St. Barbe Knight (being all Nephews) and they the said Bamfeild and Winter surviving Executors and Trustees of Henry Rogers Esquire deceased, from a Decree in Chancery, made the 13th of Novemb. 1682; and praying to be relieved therein, and that Alexander Popham may appear and answer:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Alexander Popham, or his Guardians, may have a Copy of the said Appeal, and be, and are hereby, required to put in an Answer thereunto, in Writing, at the Bar of this House, on Wednesday the 10th Day of June Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Warwick Bampfcild, John Winter, and the others, are to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Alexander Popham and his Guardians for that Purpose.

Mason versus Woodroffe & al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Nicholas Mason Gentleman, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, in a Cause there depending, wherein your Petitioner is Plaintiff, and Sir George Woodroffe Knight and others Defendants, from a Dismission of his Bill, by Orders of the 12 and 17 of July, 1671; and praying, That Sir George Woodroffe, Arthur Onslow, and Richard Syms, Esquire, may put in their Answers thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir George Woodroffe and Richard Syms may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and be, and are hereby, required to put in their Answer or Answers thereunto; as also Arthur Onslow Esquire may put in his Answer, if he think fit, on Wednesday the Tenth Day of June Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, at the Bar of this House; whereof the said Nicholas Mason is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Sir George Woodroffe, Richard Syms, and Arthur Onslow, for that Purpose.

Fountaine versus Guavas.

Upon reading the Petition of Andrew Fountaine Esquire; shewing, "That he hath an Appeal depending in this House, to which William Guavas is Defendant; from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal assembled in Parliament, That the said William Guavas may have a Copy of this Petition; and that the Consideration thereof, and of the former Appeal, be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Petitions; whose Lordships, having heard such Persons thereupon as they shall think fit, are afterwards to make Report unto this House.

Barret versus St. Leger.

Upon reading the Petition of John Barret Esquire; shewing, "That he hath an Appeal depending in this House, wherein John St. Leger is Defendant; and praying a Day of Hearing, and that his Appeal may be revived:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John St. Leger may have a Copy of this Petition; and be, and is hereby, required to put in an Answer thereunto, at the Bar of this House, on Wednesday the Tenth of June Instant; whereof the said John Barret is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said John St. Leger for that Purpose.

Stickland versus Coker.

Whereas, by Order of this House of the 26 of May last, Robert Coker was to put in an Answer to the Petition of John Stickland; this House being moved, "That the said Robert Coker may have longer Time for answering thereunto, being old and infirm in Dorsetshire:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Coker hath hereby Leave given him for putting in his Answer thereunto, till Tuesday the 23th of June Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and hereof he may not fail.

Collop versus Jefferies.

Upon reading the Petition of William Collop; shewing, "That he hath an Appeal depending in this House, whereunto John Jefferies and others are Defendants; and praying to be heard thereupon":

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Jefferies and the other Defendants (who have answered the said Appeal) may have a Copy of this Petition; and be, and are hereby, required to put in an Answer thereunto (to shew Cause why the said Appeal should not be revived), on Tuesday the Sixteenth of June Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said William Collop is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said John Jefferies and the other Defendants for that Purpose.

The Duke of Bucks, the Bishop of Durham, the Lord North, and the Lord Paget, are added to the Committee for the Bill to prevent Minors marrying without their Parents Consent.

Bill for reversing L. Stafford's Attainder.

The House was put into a Committee, to consider of the Bill for reversing the Attainder of the Lord Viscount Stafford.

The House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee of the whole House hath been in Consideration of the Bill for reversing the Attainder of the Lord Viscount Stafford; that the Committee have agreed to the Title, with some small Amendments; and also have agreed to the Enacting Clause, with some Amendments: But they have spent much Time in Debate of the Preamble, and are not yet come to any Result; desiring to have a further Time granted by the House, to have a further Debate thereof:"

And the House ORDERED, That the House should be put into a Committee To-morrow Morning, for that Purpose.
