L. Mountague will not oppose L. Hereford's Bill.

The House was made acquainted, by the Lord North, "That the Lord Viscount Mountague will acquiesce, and not oppose the Bill of Edward Viscount Hereford, depending in this House."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the enabling Edward Viscount Hereford to settle a Jointure on his Marriage with Elizabeth Norborn, notwithstanding his Minority."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Committee for Inspections to restrain their Enquiries to the Murders of L. Russel, Col. Sydney, Sir T. Armstrong and Cornish.

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Commitee for Inspections, "That the House be desired to explain whether they intended, when the Committee was appointed to enquire into the Murders of the Lord Russell, Colonel Sydney, Sir Thomas Armstronge, Mr. Cornish and others, that Colledge's Death should be enquired into as a Murder."

After some Debate, it is ORDERED, That the Lords Committees appointed to examine the Murders of the Lord Russell, Colonel Sydney, Sir Thomas Armstronge, and Mr. Cornish, be, and is hereby, restrained to the Four Persons named therein; and that they proceed therein, in order to make a Report with all Expedition.

Persons to be examined, about an Attempt to subborn Witnesses against the L. Steward, E. of Stamford, & al.

Lords Committees appointed to examine Persons to prove the endeavouring to suborn Witnesses against the Lord Steward, the Earl of Stamford, the Earl of Macclesfeld, and the Lord Delamer, and make Report to the House.

Bill to revive the Act for Triennial Parliaments:

The House adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure, to take into Consideration the Bill for reviving the Bill for preventing the Inconveniencies which happen by the Intermission of Parliaments.

The House was resumed.

The Earl of Mulgrave reported, "That the Committee of the House have been in Consideration of the Bill referred to them; and at present they are of Opinion, That a new Bill be prepared for frequent Parliaments; but this Bill not to be laid aside."

A new Bill to be prepared.

The House agreed with the Opinion of the Committee; and ORDERED, That, on Monday Morning next, this House shall consider of Heads and Clauses for a Bill for that Purpose; and the Judges to be then present.

Coke versus Fountain.

Upon the Petition of Edward Coke Esquire, by the Lady Anne Coke his Mother and Guardian, it was Yesterday ordered, That he might have Leave to amend his Appeal depending in this House, or bring in a new one; which was done accordingly;

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Defendants Andrew Fountaine and William Guavas may have a Copy thereof; and be, and they are hereby, required to put in their Answer thereunto on Friday the 14th Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Crage to be examined, about an attempt to subborn Witnesses against the L. Steward & al.

ORDERED, That Robert Crage do attend this House on Monday next, at Ten in the Forenoon, to be sworn in Order to be examined by the Committee appointed to inspect the endeavouring to suborn Witnesses against the Lord Steward, Earl of Stamford, Earl of Macclesfeld, and Lord Delamer.

Gale to be examined by the Committee for Inspections.

ORDERED, That Mr. Gale, Brazier in East Smithfeild, near Tower Hill, do attend this House on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to be sworn, in order to be examined at the Committee for Inspections at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon of the same Day.

Edwards & al. versus Devall.

Gutrige versus Crossman.

ORDERED, That the Report of the Cause wherein Sir John Edwards is Plaintiff, and John Devall Defendant, shall be made on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning; and then the Cause to be heard, wherein William Gutridge is Plaintiff, and James Croseman is Defendant.

E. Macclesfeld versus Starkey & al.

The Lord Chief Baron, in the usual Manner, brought in a Writ of Error against a Verdict given in the Exchequer Chamber:

The Earl of Macclesfeld Plaintiff, and John Starkey and others are Defendants.
