Bill to amend the Act for Sale of Coventry's House.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee are of Opinion, That the Bill to supply a Defect in a former Act of the last Parliament, for Sale of Piccadilly House, do pass without any Amendment."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to supply a Defect in a former Act of the last Parliament, for the Sale or Leasing of a House, late Henry Coventry's Esquire, in Piccadily."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Worstenholme's Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had considered the Bill to enable John Worstenholme Esquire to sell Lands, for Payment of his Debts; and have heard all Persons therein concerned; and are of Opinion, that the said Bill do pass, without any Amendments."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable John Worstenholme Esquire to sell Lands, for Payment of his Debts."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have passed these Two Bills; and to remind them of the One for regulating the Price of Coals.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Keek and Mr. Merideth:

To let them know, that this House hath passed Two Bills, which were brought up from them, without any Amendments:

1. "An Act to supply a Defect in a former Act of the last Parliament, for the Sale (fn. 1) or Leasing of a House, late Henry Coventrye's Esquire, in Piccadilly."

2. A Bill to enable John Worstenholme Esquire to sell Lands, for the Payment of his Debts.

3. To put them in Mind of a Bill formerly sent down to the Commons, to revive an Act for regulating the Measures and Prices of Coals.

Dod versus Burrows.

It is ORDERED, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Anne Dod is Plaintiff, and Thomas Burrows is Defendant, on Wednesday the 30th Day of this Instant April, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Crooke versus Watt.

ORDERED, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Peter Crooke is Plaintiff, and John Watt and others are Defendants, on Thursday the First Day of May next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir R. Fenwick's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Sir Robert Fenwick to sell Lands, for Payment of his Debts."

ORDERED, That this Bill be committed to the same Committee as Mr. Coventrye's Bill was; whose Lordships, or any Three of them, are to meet on Monday at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings; and to adjourn as they please.

Malmsbury Town versus Regem, in Error.

ORDERED, That Their Majesties Attorney General shall join Issue upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein the Town of Malmsbury are Plaintiffs, and Their Majesties Defendants, on or before Wednesday at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Pope versus De Cassaris.

ORDERED, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Charles Pope is Plaintiff, and Franscisco de Cassaris is Defendant, on Friday the Second Day of May next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Poll Bill.

The House was put into a Committee, to take into Consideration the Bill, intituled, "An Act for raising Money, by a Poll or otherwise, towards the reducing of Ireland, and prosecuting the War against France."

The House was resumed.

And the Lord North reported, "That the Committee had taken the said Bill into Consideration; and have made Amendments therein, which are offered to the Consideration of the House."

The Amendments were read Twice, and agreed to by the House.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Keck and Mr. Merideth:

To return the Bill for raising Money, by a Poll or otherwise, towards the reducing Ireland, and prosecuting the War against France; and to acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, to which the Lords desire their Concurrence.

Dean, &c. of Hereford, & al. versus Hodges.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, upon the Petition of the Dean and Chapter of Hereford, and James Gregory Esquire, being an Appeal from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer, the 7th Day of November, 1689, in a Cause there depending, between Richard Hodges Clerk, Vicar of Vallhope, (fn. 2) Plaintiff, and the Petitioners Defendants; and also upon the Answers of the said Richard Hodges put in thereunto:

After due Consideration on both Sides thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Decree, made in the Court of Exchequer, the Seventh Day of November, 1689, from which the Dean and Chapter of Hereford appealed to this House, be, and is hereby, reversed.

Adjourn.
