A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to Their Majesties a Subsidy of Tonnage and Poundage, and other Sums of Money payable upon Merchandizes exported and imported;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Fenwich and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling the Sale of Goods distrained for Rent, in case the Rent be not paid in a reasonable Time;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

The House was put into a Committee.

The House being resumed;

The Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee of the House have considered the Bill for the Exercise of the Government by Her Majesty during His Majesty's Absence; and the Opinion of the Committee is, That the said Bill is fit to pass, with Amendment."

The said Amendment was read Twice, and agreed; and the Bill is ordered to be engrossed with the said Amendment.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Mun Esquire; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing his Cause, whereunto Sir Charles Bickerstaff is Defendant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the 6th Day of May next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendant, to the End he attend with his Counsel accordingly.

Dashwood versus Champante.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, in the Case of Sir Robert Dashwood and Sir John Champante, as to the opening the Accompt:

It is ORDERED, That the Speaker do report what was said by the Counsel thereupon To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, the First Business.
