Hudson's Bay Company Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming to the Governor and Company of Hudson's Bay their Privileges and Trade; and gave the House an Account, that they had heard Counsel for the Bill, and also the New Yorke Merchants against the Bill; and that they thought fit to pass it, with One Amendment."

Which was read Twice, and Agreed to.

3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming to the Governor and Company of Hudson's Bay their Privileges and Trade."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Coke and Sir Wm. Lacon Childe:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to the Amendment.

White Paper Manufacture Bill.

2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the encouraging and better establishing the Manufacture of White Paper in this Kingdom."

Upon the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the encouraging and better establishing the Manufacture of White Paper:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be, and is hereby, committed to a Committee of the whole House; who are to sit on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, and to hear all Persons concerned for and against the said Bill peremptorily; and to be the First Business.

Corporation of Wicomb to be heard about it;

Upon reading the Petition of the Mayor, Aldermen, and other Inhabitants, of Chipping Wickomb, in the County of Bucks; praying, "That they may be heard, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, An Act for the encouraging and better establishing the Manufacture of White Paper:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That they shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar, in a Committee of the whole House, on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Watt & al. versus Brooke & al.

After hearing Counsel, at the Bar, on the 8th of May Instant, as also the Civilians on the 12th of May Instant, upon the Petition of John Watt, and Francis Camfeild and Elizabeth his Wife, being an Appeal from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the 11th Day of February, 1689, in a Cause wherein Peter Crooke and Elizabeth his Wife were Complainants; as also upon hearing Counsel and the Civilians upon the Answer of the said Peter Crooke and Elizabeth his Wife put in thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel and the Civilians thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Decree made in the Court of Chancery, for and on the Behalf of the said Peter Crooke and Elizabeth his Wife (from which the said John Watt and Francis Camfeild and Elizabeth his Wife appealed to this House), be, and is hereby, affirmed; and that the Petition and Appeal of the said John Watt, Fra. Camfeild and Elizabeth his Wife, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.

Wainwright versus Wiseman.

Upon Consideration of the Petition of James Wainwright, brought into this House the 14th Day of January last past, against several Proceedings at Law by William Wiseman; and praying, "That Anne Wiseman may shew Cause why an Order of Session in the Year 1686 should not be set aside;" to which Petition the said Anne Wiseman put in her Answer:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition of James Wainwright shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.

Adjourn.
