Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Jonathan Jennings and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Dacres Barret, alias Leonard, Esquire, to charge the Reversion of his Estate in England with the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Dutchess of Albemarle et al. versus E. of Bath.

Upon reading the Petition of Elizabeth Dutchess of Albermale, Charles Lord Chene, William Chene Esquire, and Doctor Peter Barwicke; shewing, "That there is a Suit commenced, in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, for Proof of the Will of Christopher Duke of Albermale, in which the Earl of Bath is concerned, who insists upon his Privilege, whereby the Suit is stayed; and praying they may be at Liberty to proceed in the said Cause;" as also upon reading the Petition of the Creditors of the most Noble Christopher late Duke of Albermale, deceased, to the same Effect:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, on the Behalf of the Earl of Bath, as also for the Petitioners, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, whether the Earl of Bath hath waved his Privilege in this Case, in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, or not.

Ld. Granville to be brought to the House

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Lord Granvill; praying that he may be discharged:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod do forthwith bring the Lord Granvill to this House, to receive the Injunctions of the House.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Clerk to William Petyt Esquire do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

E. of Salisbury, to prevent cutting off the Entail of his Estate, Bill.

After having this Day heard Counsel, on the Behalf of the Earl of Salisbury, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the cutting off the Entail of the Earl of Salisburye's Estate;" as also Counsel for Mr. Cecill for the passing of the said Bill; and due Consideration had thereof:

The Bill was read a Second Time.

Ld. Granville enjoined not to Quarrel with Ld. Keveton.

The Lord Granvill being brought to the House, and in his Place; the Speaker (sitting with his Hat on), by Directions of the House, spake to him as followeth:

"The House commands your Lordship, that you shall do nothing, directly nor indirectly, either as Principal or Second, in the further Prosecution of any Quarrel between your Lordship and the Lord Keveton, or between any other Persons wherein the Lord Keveton is or may be concerned, till his Lordship shall surrender himself to the Black Rod; and the House expects that you promise this upon your Honour."

Then the Lord Granvill said, "He did promise, upon his Honour, to obey this Order of the House."

Ld. Granville discharged.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Charles Lord Granvill be, and is hereby, discharged from the Restraint he lies under, in the Custody of the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House.

To Sir Tho. Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them.

Ld. Keveton to surrender, or a Proclamation to be addressed for.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That if the Lord Keveton do not surrender himself within Seven Days to the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, that then this House will address to His Majesty, for the issuing a Proclamation for his surrendering himself to the Black Rod.

Admiralty Commissioners Bill.

2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act concerning the Commissioners of the Admiralty."

After some Debate thereon;

ORDERED, That the further Debate hereof be adjourned till To-morrow, Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, the First Business, and nothing to intervene; and that all the Lords in and about the Town be summoned to attend the House at that Time, and all the Judges.

Impeachments in Statu quo.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Report, which was appointed to be made To-morrow, from the Lords Committees appointed to search Precedents, whether Impeachments continue in Statu quo from Parliament to Parliament, shall be made on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
