Poor Prisoners, Bill to explain the Act for Relief of.

The Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the explaining and for the more effectual Execution of a former Act for Relief of poor Prisoners," with some Amendments.

Which being read; a Proviso was offered, for saving the Earl of Radnor's Right in the Office of The Fleete.

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be re-committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That the Committee had agreed to the said Bill, with some Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the explaining and for the more effectual Execution of a former Act for Relief of poor Prisoners."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass, with the Amendments?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to the said Amendments.

Message from thence, that they agree to the Bill for taking away the Process for Capiatur Fine; and to desire a Bill may be returned, which was by Mistake indorsed for Stevens's;

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Waller and others:

To acquaint this House, that the Commons have agreed to the Lords Amendments to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to take away the Process for the Capiatur Fine in the several Courts at Westm'r."

And further, the Commons having passed a Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate of William Stevens deceased, for Payment of the Mortgage thereupon, and applying the Overplus for the Benefit of his Sons who are Infants;" and there lying upon the Clerks Table at the same Time several other engrossed Bills, in order to be read; by Mistake, the Title of the said Stevens's Bill was indorsed upon another Bill of another Nature; and, the same was sent up to your Lordships: And therefore the Commons do desire, that the said Bill so sent up to your Lordships may be returned to them, that the said Mistake may be rectified.

and to remind the Lords of the Quarter Sessions, Bill.

And also, to put this House in Mind of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent Delays of Proceedings at the Quarter Sessions of the Peace."

Stevens's Bill returned, to be amended.

Then the House agreed to the Commons Message in relation to Mr. Stevens's Bill:

And the Commons were called in again, and told, "That the Lords agree to their Message, and gave them Mr. Stevens's Bill, as desired."

Who brought up the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of the Orphans and other Creditors of the City of London;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

To acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to repeal the Statute made in the Tenth Year of King Edward the Third, for finding Sureties for the good Abearing, by him or her that hath a Pardon of Felony," with an Amendment.

"An Act to enable Thomas Earl of Thanett, and the Honourable Sackville Tuston his Brother, to make a Lease for Sixty Years of Thanett House, in the Parish of St. Buttolph's Aldersgate, to commence after the Remainder of a Term of One and Thirty Years now in Being"

To which Bills they have agreed, without any Amendment.
