Addison versus Haddock.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of Timothy Haddock, Respondent to the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Addison and Henry Inman, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing Counsel thereupon:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the said Petition and Answer, on Monday the Ninth Day of this Instant April, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. that they agree to the Lords Amendments to the Mutiny Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord Ranelagh and others:

To acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert Their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for the Payment of Quarters for One Year longer."

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir John Hart and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act against Hawkers and Pedlars;" to which the Concurrence of this House is desired.

Salt-petre, for Importation of, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Importation of Salt-petre for One Year."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Importation of Salt-petre, for One Year."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons; to let them know, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Ld. Stawell's Bill.

The Amendments made by the House of Commons to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Payment of the Debts of John Lord Stawell, lately deceased," were read Twice; and all agreed to, except the Clause marked (B).

And a Debate arising thereupon, the further Consideration thereof was adjourned till To-morrow Morning; and that then Mr. Lee, or some for him, do attend, to shew his Title upon which the said Clause is grounded.

Adjourn.
