Lords take the Oaths.

The Lords following took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes; (videlicet,)

Henry Duke of Norfolke.

Charles Duke of Bolton.

Thomas Earl of Sussex.

Merchants Losses, Accounts of.

The Merchants attending this Day, pursuant to the Order of the Sixth Instant, were called in, and delivered, at the Bar, several Accounts of their particular Losses at Sea this last Year.

Which being read; the Orders following were made:

Transactions between the East India Company and Admiralty, concerning Cruizers;

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the East India Company do lay before this House, in Writing, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, whether they conceive that the Loss of the Ships mentioned in their Paper delivered this Day did arise for the Want of Cruizers, and whether they did make Application to the Admiralty for Cruizers, and what was done upon such Application; and that they set down the whole Transactions between them and the Admiralty as particularly as they can."

and New England Merchants, &c. about Cruizers and Convoys.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the New England Merchants do lay before this House, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, an Account, in Writing, when and where the Ships mentioned in their Paper delivered this Day were lost, and what Applications they made to the Admiralty for Cruizers or Convoys, and what was done upon such Applications; and that they set down the whole Transactions between them and the Admiralty, as particularly as they can."

Bayly's Paper, concerning the Ship Avarilla.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Subject-matter of the Paper delivered this Day by Mr. Bayly, being the Case of the Owners of the Ship Avarilla, shall be taken into Consideration on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon."

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Friday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House will farther consider the Papers delivered this Day from the East India and other Merchants, pursuant to the Orders this Day.

Killigrew's Petition dismissed.

A Petition of Henry Killigrew Esquire was read.

And thereupon it was ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be dismissed.

Adjourn.
