Brown versus Bradford.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Humphry Browne; complaining of a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Fifteenth Day of June, in the Eighth Year of His present Majesty's Reign, on Behalf of Richard Bradford; and praying, "That the said Richard Bradford may answer thereunto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Bradford may have a Copy of the said Petition; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Seventh Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all Persons concerned have Notice of this Bill; and shall be heard, by their Counsel, for and against the same, on Monday the Four and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Expence of Suits, for restraining.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to consider of proper Methods to restrain the great Expence and Length of Suits, in the Courts of Law and Equity.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

Lords Committees appointed to consider of proper Methods to restrain the great Expence and Length of Suits in the Courts of Law and Equity; whose Lordships have hereby Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records; and; having considered thereof, and heard such Persons concerning the same as they shall think fit, are afterwards to report their Opinion thereupon to this House.
