Baron versus Bradford.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Bradford; praying, "That he may be allowed further Time, for answering to the Petition of Humphry Baron; he being Eighty Years of Age, and very infirm, and could not instruct his Counsel so as to answer as ordered:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Bradford hath hereby Time allowed him for answering thereunto, until Wednesday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Godwin versus Berry.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Benjamin Godwin Baronet; complaining of a Decree made by the Master of the Rolls, the Fourth Day of August, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six; and also from a Decree pronounced by the Lord Chancellor the Twelfth of November last, on the Behalf of John Berry and Rice Bowen; and praying the Reversal of the said Decrees:

Memorandum, This Appeal was received; because the Decree was not enrolled till Christmas, and there were Terms of Accommodation offered.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Berry and Rice Bowen may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Whitaker and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Rebecca Lassells Widow to sell Copyhold Lands and Houses in Ealing, in the County of Midl'x;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

Count. of Macclesfield versus Divorce, Bill.

After hearing Counsel and Witnesses this Day, on Behalf of the Countess of Maclesfeld:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel and Witnesses in this Matter on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

ORDERED, That no further Order shall be allowed for Witnesses on Behalf of the Countess of Maclesfeld, unless for supporting Mrs. Goodhall's Credit.

E. of Burlington takes his Seat.

This Day Charles Earl of Burlington sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Grandfather Richard Earl of Burlington; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.
