Message from H. C. for a Conference on the Bill to prevent the distilling of Corn.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Heveningham and others:

To desire a Conference, upon the Subject-matter of the Lords Amendments to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prohibit the excessive distilling of Spirits and Low Wines from Corn, and against the exporting of Beer and Ale, and to prevent Frauds in Distillers."

To which the House agreed.

Answer.

Then the Commons were called in, and told, "That the Lords have considered their Message; and agree to a Conference, as desired; and appoint the same To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock in the Painted Chamber.

The Earl of Rochester also reported from the Lords Committees the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Naturalization of John Francis de Carcassonet and others," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
