Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting Part of the Estate of Roger Crowle Esquire deceased, in Trustees, for raising Portions for his Younger Children, in regard he (being Lunatic) could not execute a Power in his Marriage Settlement for that Purpose."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bank, Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making good the Deficiencies of several Funds therein mentioned; and for enlarging the Capital Stock of the Bank of England, and for raising the Public Credit."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the abovesaid Two Bills, without any Amendment.

Lustrings, &c. to encourage the Manufacture of, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the further Encouragement of the Manufacture of Lustrings and Alamodes within this Realm; and for the better preventing the Importation of prohibited Goods, and Goods without paying the Duties charged on the same."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for them to proceed."

ORDERED, That on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill.

Delays at Quarter Sessions, Bill to prevent.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to make perpetual and more effectual an Act, intituled, An Act to prevent Delays at the Quarter Sessions of the Peace."

His Majesty, being arrayed in His Regal Robes and Crown, attended with His Officers of State, ascended His Royal Throne (the Peers being also in their Robes); commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to signify to the Commons; "It is His Majesty's Pleasure, they attend Him presently."

Who, being come; their Speaker read the Title of the Money Bill.

Then the Clerk of the Parliaments received the said Bill from the Hands of the Speaker, and brought it to the Table; where the Clerk Assistant read the Titles of the Bills following; (videlicet,)

Bills passed.

"1. An Act for making good the Deficiencies of several Funds therein mentioned; and for enlarging the Capital Stock of the Bank of England, and for raising the Public Credit."

To which the Royal Assent was pronounced by the Clerk of the Parliaments in these Words; (videlicet,)

"8. An Act for repealing of a Clause in a former Act, relating to Party Guiles; and for the better preventing Frauds and Abuses of Brewers and others chargeable with the Duties of Excise."

"12. An Act to supply a Defect in an Act for enabling Oliver Neve Esquire to sell Two Houses in London; and for settling Lands in the County of Norfolke, of greater Value, to the same Uses."

Whereas this Day was appointed for the Earl of Warrington to put in his Answer to the Petition of Cecill Booth Esquire, his Uncle:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Warrington hath hereby Time given him for answering thereunto, until Wednesday the Seventh Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock.

Countess Westmerland versus E. Derby:

Whereas Monday next was appointed for hearing Counsel on the Petition of the Countess of Westmerland; as also Counsel for the Earl of Derby upon his Answer to the said Petition:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel thereupon, on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock the First Business.
