The Lord Bishop of Exeter reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Dudley Vesey, an Infant," as fit to pass, with One Amendment.

Which, being read Twice, was agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Dudley Vesey, an Infant."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendment, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bishop of Chichester's Bill.

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable John Lord Bishop of Chichester to make Leases of certain Houses and Grounds belonging, to the Bishopric of Chichester, situate in Chancery Lane, for a competent Number of Years," with some Amendments.

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Walrond's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Humphry Walrond Gentleman to sell Part of his Estate, for the making Provision for his Eldest Son, and Elizabeth his Daughter, who are Lunatics; and for the Payment of his Debts, and raising Portions for his other Children."

Act for amending the Poor Laws, to explain, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act made the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for supplying some Defects in the Laws for the Relief of the Poor of this Kingdom."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Trustees of William Knot Gentleman, and his Wife, to sell a Lease of Houses in Breadstrcet, London, for Payment of Debts; and to settle another Estate, of better Value, in Lieu thereof," is referred.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for satisfying and discharging the Arrears of several Annuities, which incurred between the Seventeenth Day of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six, and the Seventeenth Day of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-seven."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

To which the House agreed.

Malt Act. to explain, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act made the last Session of Parliament, for granting to His Majesty certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Sweets, Cyder, and Perry."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Berkeley of Berkeley reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

To which the House agreed.

Irish Appeals, Methods of.

Upon Report from the Lords Committees appointed to consider the proper Methods of appealing from Decrees made in the Court of Chancery in Ireland, "That they have received a Letter from the Lords Justices in Ireland, with 39 Papers enclosed, purporting to be Precedents relating to that Matter, with an Abstract of the same; and are of Opinion, that Eight of them, marked 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 33, 37, 38, together with the said Abstract, be presented to the House, as most proper for their Lordships Consideration."

Adjourn.
