The Marquis of Normanby reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for reducing the excessive Numbers of Attornies, and of such as practise as Attornies."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be re-committed to the same Committee as before; who are to meet on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Wallop, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Bluet Wallop Esquire, John Wallop, and Robert Wallop, Infants, all under the Age of Sixteen Years, by Alice Wallop Widow, their Mother and Guardian; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the vesting a Power in Trustees, to sell the Twelfth Part of the Fee and Inheritance of certain Manors and Land, in the Counties of Devon, Dorset, and Somerset; and to employ the Monies raised by such Sale in the Purchase of other Lands, to be settled to the same Uses:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given them to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Scotch Settlement at Darien.

ORDERED, That the further Consideration of the Matter relating to the Scotch Settlement at Darien shall be resumed on Thursday the Eighth Day of February next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Clayton versus Clayton.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Clayton, Executor of Dame Mary Clayton, who was Executrix of Sir Jasper Clayton, from Part of an Order made in the Court of Chancery, the Tenth of June, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, and from a subsequent Order of the Three and Twentieth of December last, on the Behalf of Prudence Clayton; and praying, "That they may be reversed:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Prudence Clayton may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and she is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Fifth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Thomas's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Dalby Thomas Esquire to sell Lands, in Islington, in Middl'x, settled, on his Marriage with Dorothy his now Wife, as Part of her Jointure; he settling another Estate, of equal or greater Value, in Lieu thereof."
