A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To desire that Sir Edward Abney and Mr. Denzill Onslow may have Leave to attend this House, to be examined as Witnesses, in a Matter depending in this House, between the Earl of Huntingdon and his Son the Lord Hastings.

L. Hastings' Witnesses;

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lady Lewis and Mrs. Hastings do attend this House on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock, to be examined as Witnesses, in a Matter depending in this House, between the Earl of Huntingdon and his Son the Lord Hastings.

Master in Chancery to examine Brigadiet Hastings.

The House being informed, "That Brigadier Hastings is very ill, and cannot attend this House as Witness on the Behalf of the Lord Hastings:"

It is therefore ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir Miles Cooke; a Master in Chancery attending this House, do go to the said Brigadier Hastings, and take his Examination in Writing, in relation to a Matter depending in this House, between the Earl of Huntingdon and the said Lord Hastings; and deliver the same to this House.

King's Answer to Representation about the E. of Monmouth.

The Lord Steward reported His Majesty's Answer to the Representation of this House, delivered Yesterday, in relation to the Earl of Monmouth; (videlicet,) "That His Majesty gives their Lordships Thanks, for the Consideration they have had of Him in that Matter."

Elections, for further regulating, Bill.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the further regulating Elections of Members to serve in Parliament," and the Petitions delivered relating thereunto, shall be resumed To-morrow, next after the Report of the Committee appointed to consider of Smith's Papers.

Low discharged.

Upon reading the Petition of Arthur Low, now in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House; and praying to be discharged:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Arthur Low shall be, and he is hereby, discharged without Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Peter Persehouse Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them.

Privilege and Protections.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Wednesday the Seven and Twentieth of this Instant January, this House shall be put into a Committee, to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the greater Ease of the Subject in recovering their just Debts;" and that, before they proceed thereupon, the Book of Protections shall be considered, and John Ellison's Petition, read this Day.

L. Hastings versus E. of Huntingdon.

Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing One Counsel on either Side, on the Petition of the Lord Hastings, and the Answer of the Earl of Huntingdon his Father put in thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard in this Matter, on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock.
