Vesey, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Agmondisham Vesey, and of Anne Vesey and Henrietta Vesey his Daughters, both Infants; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Sale of an Estate in the County of Kildare in Ireland, or so much thereof as will be sufficient to pay his Debts; and also to empower the Petitioner to make Leases of an Estate in the County of Dublin:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Dodwell versus Ormsby.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Henry Dodwell, of Atblone, in the County of Roscommon, and Kingdom of Ireland, Esquire, and Katherine his Wife, from a Decree made in the Chancery of Ireland, on the Third Day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and One, in the Cause wherein the Petitioners are Plaintiffs, against John Ormsby Esquire and others Defendants; and praying, "That the said Decree, in relation to the Interest only, may be set aside; and that the said John Ormsby (who hath an Appeal from the said Decree now depending before this House) may answer thereto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Ormsby may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Tuesday the Nine and Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock.

E. of Bridgewater takes his Seat.

This Day Scroope Earl of Bridgewater sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father John Earl of Bridgewater; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Hoare's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable the Executrix of James Hoare Esquire deceased to pay a Sum of Money, in Discharge of a Trust in her reposed by his Will."

D. of Newcastle takes the Oaths.

This Day John Duke of Newcastle took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Cowper's Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting of the several Manors, Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, in the County of Essex, late belonging to John Cowper Gentleman deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for better Payment of his Debts and Legacies charged thereon."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Pitt and Doctor Edisbury:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Original Journals, Flag Officers, &c.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for taking into Consideration the Duke of Ormond's Journal, relating to the late Expedition to Cadiz and Vigo; as also Monday last was appointed for the Original Journals of all the Flag Officers, and the Captains of the Ships of those Flag Officers, who were in the late Expedition to Cadiz and Vigo; as also an Account from the Agent Victualer upon the Fleet, of what Provisions he brought Home from Cadiz and Vigo, and for how many Men:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Burchett, Secretary to the Admiralty, do attend this House on Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock, with the said Original Journals, and an Account from the Agent Victualer, as ordered the Tenth Instant.

D Ormond's Journal.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Journal delivered into this House by his Grace the Duke of Ormonde shall be taken into Consideration on Thursday next.
