Colonel Leighton's Petition rejected.

Whereas the Petition of Colonel Baldwin Leighton was Yesterday brought into the House, and read, complaining of Delays in the Court of Queen's Bench; which was agreed to lie on the Table:

After hearing this Day the Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Queen's Bench, it is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, rejected.

L. Grey Wark, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the Right Honourable Ralph Lord Grey of Wark; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for Confirmation of the Execution of certain Agreements, made between the Petitioner and others, touching certain Manors, Lands, and Tenements, in the Counties of Northumberland and Middl'x, and City of London; and also concerning other Manors, Lands, and Tenements, in the said County of Northumberland, County Palatine of Durham, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed:

The House being informed, "That the Lord Chief Justice attended, with a Writ of Error;" he was called in; and, in the usual Manner, brought into the House a Writ of Error, with a Transcript of the Record, wherein

Upon reading the Petition of Mathew Ashby: "That he hath prosecuted a Writ of Error in this House, whereunto William White and others are Defendants, whereupon Errors are assigned, and Issue joined; and praying, That a short Day may be appointed, so hearing the Errors argued:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, in this Case, on Tuesday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords with White Staves do attend Her Majesty from this House, and humbly desire Her Majesty, "That She will be pleased to give Order, that Boucher and Ogleby, and the several other Persons that are taken with them, be safely secured; and that no Person be suffered to speak with them until they shall be examined."
