PRAYERS.

Recruits for Land Forces and Marines, Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Bill, intituled, "An Act for raising Recruits for the Land Forces and Marines; and for dispensing with Part of the Act for the Encouragement and Increase of Shipping and Navigation during the present War," shall be read the Second Time on Wednesday the Fifteenth Day of this Instant March, at One a Clock; and all the Lords summoned to attend.

Protestant Subjects of Orange, Nat. Bill.

The House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing the Protestants Subjects of the Principality of Orange, who have departed their Country upon the Account of their Religion, who are, or shall, come to settle in this Kingdom."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Ferrers reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

De Haunt & al. Nat. Bill.

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing "Henry De Haunt, George Chabot, and others," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Persons in Public Offices, Privilege of Parliament, Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the further Explanation and Regulation of Privilege of Parliament, in relation to Persons in Public Offices."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Mr. Hiccocks:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereto.

Mathew versus Philips.

Upon reading the Petition of Christopher Philips, Respondent to the Appeal of George Mathew and his Wife; shewing, "That the Appellant hath brought his Appeal for Delay and Vexation to the Petitioner; to which the Petitioner put in his Answer the Sixth Instant; and therefore praying a short Day may be appointed for hearing the said Appeal:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the said Appeal and Answer, on Friday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant, March, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.

Militia Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia for the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Four, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not re-paid."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Tarry & al. of Gen. Wyndham's Regiment, Petition for their Pay.

Upon reading the Petition of Isaac Tarry and William Nicholson, on Behalf of themselves and others, Soldiers of the Regiment of Horse commanded by Major General Wyndham, formerly by Colonel Bierley; praying, "That an Accompt may be given to, and the said Regiment paid, or otherwise the Petitioners may be relieved:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the same Committee to whom the Accompts are referred, which were delivered into this House by the Commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament to take the Accompts of the Army, Transports, and Prizes; and that the Commissioners attend the said Committee To-morrow, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, with their Books relating to this Matter; and that the Commissioners have a Copy of the said Petition.

Pryssick versus Vigures.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Christopher Pryssick Merchant and James Oades Gentleman, Administrators of John Hubbock, who died intestate, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Fifth Day of July One Thousand Seven Hundred, on the Behalf of Robert Vigures, by Bill of Revivor; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree: As also upon the Answer of the said Robert Vigures put in thereunto; and due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon:

It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Christopher Pryssick and James Oades shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

First Fruits and Tenths to poor Clergy, Bill.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the making more effectual Her Majesty's gracious Intentions for the Augmentation of the Maintenance of the poor Clergy, by enabling Her Majesty to grant in Perpetuity the Revenues of the First Fruits and Tenths; and also for enabling any other Persons to make Grants for the same Purpose."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
