Granger's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Sarah Granger, Widow, Relict of Nicholas Granger, Gilbert Granger, Sarah Collins, Anne Granger, Judith Granger, Mary Granger, and Elizabeth Marshall, Younger Children of the said Nicholas and Sarah, and of Sarah Granger, Widow and Relict of John Granger, Eldest Son of the said Nicholas, on Behalf of herself and George Granger, an Infant, Eldest Son of the said John; shewing, "That the Petitioners, in December last, petitioned for Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Sale of certain Lands in Potton and Statfold, in the County of Bedford; which Petition was referred to Mr. Justice Gould and Mr. Baron Bury, who reported the State of the Case to this House;" and praying, "That the said Report may be considered:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of this and the former Petition, with the Report thereupon, shall be, and are hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Gould and Mr. Baron Bury; who are forthwith to summon all Parties who are to be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, as it now stands, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Persons that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Atherton's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Elizabeth Atherton, Widow and Relict of John Atherton, late of Bewsey, in the County Palatine of Lancaster, Esquire, deceased, on the Behalf of Richard Atherton, Elizabeth and Frances, all tender Infants, and Children by her said Husband, who, by his last Will and Testament, appointed her their Guardian; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable Trustees, by Sale of Timber, and making Leases of certain Lands, late of the said John Atherton, to raise the Sum of Three Thousand Pounds, which, by his Marriage Settlement, he had Power to charge, for Payment of his Debts:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Queen's Bench and Mr. Baron Bury; who are forthwith to summon all Parties that may be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Lacy's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of John Lacy Esquire and Susanna his Wife, on Behalf of themselves and Susanna, Elizabeth, Arthur, and Mary, Son and Daughters of the said John Lacy and Susanna his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for Sale of divers Messuages and Lands, in the Counties of Essex and Cambridge, to make Provision for their Younger Children:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Common Pleas and the Lord Chief Baron of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer; who are forthwith to summon all Persons concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

State of the Deb of the Navy to be laid before the House.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord High Admiral do cause to be laid before this House the State of the Debt of the Navy, as it stood at Michaelmas last; and also an Account of what Money hath been issued or paid to the Treasurer of the Navy, Yearly, from the Commencement of this War to that Time, for Wear and Tear, Ordinary of the Navy, Seamen's Wages, Provisions, Stores, and Ordnance.

Neale and Johnson discharged.

This Day Francis Neale and Thomas Johnson were brought to the Bar, as Delinquents, for having caused to be arrested Charles Polton, Servant to his Grace the Duke of Bedford, a Peer of this Realm, within the Time of Privilege of Parliament; and being reprimanded, and asking Pardon for their Offence:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Francis Neale and Thomas Johnson shall be, and they are hereby, discharged from the Restraint they lie under, paying their Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
