This Day Peregrine Lord Osborne took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

The Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Queen's Bench, in the usual Manner, brought up Two Writs of Error; (videlicet,)

The Order of the Day being read, for the House to take into Consideration the State of the Nation, in relation to the late intended Invasion on Scotland;

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, humbly to desire Her Majesty, "To give Order to be laid before this House, a State, or Account, what Time Her Majesty had First Notice of the intended Invasion on Scotland? What Orders were thereupon given in relation to Scotland? What Condition the Forces and Garrisons in Scotland were in at that Time? What Addition or Augmentation was made to the said Forces and Garrisons from that Time to the Time of the Invasion? And when, and what, has been done since, in relation to the said Invasion?"

Ordered, That the Lords with White Staves do humbly attend Her Majesty, with the said Address.
